Sharper Image SBT1009BK On-The-Go Bluetooth Party Speaker with Disco Ball Light Show, Tailgate, Karaoke With Microphone (Black)

Just what we needed. I was looking at another one but so glad we chose the Sharper Image. I now understand why there are so many great reviews. The sound is excellent and the light show is great. I downloaded the Amazon music app and played great music from my iphone straight to the sound system and the bluetooth worked great. Also, the Amazon music app has the words for most of the songs and makes karaoke a blast (nice going Amazon). Great sound and, as long as you use the mic input, it will not cut out the music and you can adjust the sound and mic output to match. At one point the music was cutting out and I realized I had the mic plugged into the guitar input. So far, this is the best portable speaker/karaoke system we ever purchased.

I have used this unit once for a party when I first bought Aug 2015 and was really impressed with the sound. Battery held up wide open for almost 3 hours. Next time I used it for a tailgate party fully charged and the battery cut out after 1/2 hour and Bluetooth kept disconnecting I believe this had to do with the battery power. Unit does not hold a charge. Battery is the downfall of this unit. I have owned this for 19 months used it 2 times. If this unit had a good battery I would pay the extra to have it because it is a really good speaker for what it is but as it is going into the trash bin.

Just as described, I thought it was well worth the price I paid. Super fast shipping. The mic was not working and contacted seller who sent me a new one out the next day, shipping took like 1 week but was the holidays and in no way the sellers fault. Just christmas time. The seller was super great about standing up for the product they sold. I would not hesitate to buy from this seller again. The item is great, I think to loud (lol) but everyone has had a blast with this item. The light ball really adds in a dim room that bar feel. Hope this will last for many years as I can see lots of gatherings with this being the center of the party.

I would love it if it works. I love the light, the microphone, the speaker, blue tooth. But it works only for a day, the next day, everything starts to fall apart. 1. No more Bluetooth. I wish they could have just a USP port in case the blue tooth stops working, but the USP port only for recharging your cell phone :( 2. When I tried to plug the microphone in, it has a loud static noise, only the microphone for the guitar is working. Suggestion to the manufacturing: Adding an USP port to connect the phone to the speaker (hard wire), in case the Bluetooth stops working, because you just cannot depend on Bluetooth alone.

Unit is even better than the general description, this one has quality. The battery is excellent, the music is clear (approx 50W), enough for a 100 person party. If you want stereo (best), simple get 2 and hook up the wires. The dance light is not something that most people need, so not sure why they put it there. The audio inputs and outputs are very satisfactory and better than many other makes, and volume and echo controls for mic are great. Highly recommend.

I really like this product. had issues with it staying on and charging it and was going to return it, but then realized you need to have the AC adaptor switch set to 'on' in order to charge it. The sound is great! Sound is better when using the Bluetooth than when using the Aux cord. Lights are great, looks like cop lights (great for parties) Karaoke mic is fun and works great too.

Excellent volume and quality. Knobs for volume control on side, lots of connections on back. Not heavy, easy to haul around to teach dance classes. I got this for the sound I was not disappointed. You can turn off the light show on the top.

I have had this device for less than 5 months and the speaker has stopped working. I purchased the Item for my birthday and arrived at my door Feb 16 2016. The battery never kept a charge for very long in the very beginning. the speaker has never left my home. Two months ago the bluetooth stopped working and a month ago the whole device will not stay on. I don't know how to fix it. I think there some trouble with the wiring between the internal on/off battery switch and the normal on/off switch. You get what you pay for. Just wish I could return it and start over.

Great sound

i just got this speaker and i hate it its so small not loud at all the disco light sucks

Stay away? Nahhh. It's a good unit...I was just given a dud. Full refund granted. Bought a better one. It sounds great... It plays great...IF you can get it to work. LOL Other reviews make this a fantastic speaker. I'm sure it is. Mine must be a fluke. Played great twice, maybe 2 hours in total. Then as if it only worked on battery even though plugged in. Battery wouldnt charge then. My guess? The 120 plugin stopped working in the speaker. Returned it. Quality: for the price the speaker is loud. The mic is cheap but more then enough for karaoke home parties. Pull out handle is cheap and WILL break/bend with a few uses. Wheels are your standard suitcase style wheels. Disco ball is cool. Button to turn on. It does NOT move to the beat. It simply rotates the kaleidoscope style half ball around some led lights whether there's music playing or not.
