Works Good
Good for the price. It works as advertised. There is no volume control and would have been a nice feature or at least a switch to turn it off. Its job is to tell you your signal straingeth not what satellite your pointed at. Found the correct Satelite and peeked the signal in short order.

That worked much better.
I ordered this so I wouldn't have to climb off the ladder and look through the window at what kind of signal I got. Well, you can't tell if you are on the right satellite so you still have to go down and check that. I never did get the satellite with this so I had to carry my TV outside with the receiver and watch it from the roof. That worked much better.

Simple and effective at the right price
This item does exactly what it's supposed to do at a reasonable price. It measures signal strength only then you verify the satellite identity through the point dish screen on the receiver. Recommend phone app "Dish Align" to obtain skew, azmith and elevation values. If you don't know what these are, buy a Tailgator and go the automatic route.

If you are looking to find a satellite finder, this is the one to get.
If you are looking to find a satellite finder, this is the one to get. Reasonable cost, functions great and reputable vendor. I also got (and regret) getting a 'Winegard' version which is less functional. I ended up buying a second one of these to use on two different LNBs as troubleshooting and tuning....

Works for proper function and astronomy.
Works great. Ok, I'm using it for radio astronomy, but to test it I needed to detect a satellite. It did this well and works well for astronomy as well.
