Nice unit
I have a TP62 with one transmitter to my greenhouse and it works very well. The TX-5 works well, however it does not appear to have the same range as the TP62. I ordered one and shortly after contacted the company inquiring about the range. It is supposed to have similar range as the TP62 but it had a hard time relaying to the TP62 receiver in the house that I have it connected to. The company was very gracious and sent another even though I was not asking for a new one. The new unit works well but performs just like the first one , and the reason for the 4 stars.

Syncing multiple remotes is not that simple
The main panel seems to work as advertised. However, the remote that is provided with it really only wants to sync on Channel 1. Once you have admitted that, and changed any other remotes to other channels, you will be content. I don't think the humidity sensor is tracking very well, based on comparison to other remotes I have. But I rarely care about humidity, so fine. Price was right.

A Nice Gadget to Have (Updated)
Have been using ThermPro products for a couple of years. Had just recently built a storage shed and wanted to make sure of temperature monitoring. Ordered product back on 5/8/20 and received on 5/13/20 - come on Amazon...you guys can do this shipping thing better. After unboxing the unit I charged it up per the manual, and it synchronized with the TP-60S read-out display without issue. However, after a couple of hours the LCD display started fading in and out. Then, the unit stopped communicating with the TP-60S. It eventually died. Called ThermoPro for tech support, but unit cannot be fixed and we both agreed the possibility of dealing with a defective unit.Called ThermoPro and they will be sending a new replacement. Will update again once the replacement is received and in working condition (fingers are crossed).UPDATE 5/28/2020: Received replacement unit from I-tronics and it works without any issue. Temperature on TX-5 synchronizes and read out is accurate to TP-60S. ThermoPro does stand by their word and their products.

Failed to sync with TP-62 base unit
I had an unsatisfactory experience with the TX-5 transmitter, which I purchased as an extra temperature sensor for a TP-62 base unit. The TX-5 arrived well packaged with clear instructions enclosed. It charged and turned on as expected, with the temperature, humidity and channel displaying (albeit small) and behaved as the documentation described. However, I was unable to get it to sync with either of my two TP-62 base units (both of which sync fine with the transmitter that came with the TP-62). I called ThermoPro support and reached a person without a long wait. He was polite and tried to be helpful, but could not solve my problem. He said he would consult with some others and call me back, but I never got the call. I waited a day and then returned the TX-5 unit to Amazon as defective, requesting a replacement, which came in a few days. Unfortunately, the replacement behaved exactly as the first unit. I thought maybe there was some sort of interference, so I took a TP-62 base unit and the TX-5 up the street away from all electronics, but it would still not sync. I returned the unit for a refund. My experience is clearly not universal, since the TX-5 is supposed to work with the TP-62 and other reviewers seem to have had no trouble syncing it. Did I fail to follow instructions correctly? I don't think so; the instructions were clear and everything on the TX-5 behaved as described, but just did not sync. Did I get two of a bad batch of TX-5 transmitters? That's possible, I guess, but I've given up on the TX-5 anyway.

Well worth the money!!
For the size of the unit the numbers are easy to see. I have only one eye so anything the makes it easier for me to see is very important. I have purchased other brands in the past only to have their display screens go dim. My wife can read the display from over 10 feet away. When you touch the back lite display when it's dark well is unbelievably bright. The accuracy is + or - 1 degree. Now all I have to see is how long this unit works! I would definitely buy this unit again!!

Doesn’t pair, ThermoPro quit making it
I couldn’t get this to pair. ThermoPro has great customer service, but they said they quit making it due to the pairing unreliability. Had to return, I advise buying the TX-2 sensor.

Great value. Does it’s job!
Works great. I put one unit inside my shed, one on the outside and the main display in my kitchen and have all the temperature and humidity readings. Perfect for knowing when I can do my hobby painting outside or I have to do it in my shed.

Easy to setup and apears well made
I upgraded a TP65 to use one of these TX-5 sensors, as the one that comes with the TP65 failed. It was easy to setup and get going. it also looks more enviromentally sealed than the one that comes with the TP65. I like the display as well so you can just look at it if you are outside and see the temperature. As long as it continues to work well, I will keep my rating high.
