Sounds great when paired with a Celestion Vintage 30
I've got two speaker cabinets - a 2x12 and a 4x12 - and I've paired the G75 with V30s in both of them. The sound great together. I play metal. Modern high gain in one band, and a Black Sabbath tribute in another band. These speakers sound great with both bands. The V30 is an aggressive speaker, and the G75 really helps to take a little edge off and really provides nice full sound. Speakers are one of the two most critical components for getting a good metal sound along with a good pre-amp. It's worth every penny to upgrade your cabinet.

Great Deal on a Classic Guitar Speaker
I bought this from Amazon, through the seller Zzounds. It arrived quickly with free shipping and no tax. It was really $99. For a large 75 watt speaker, you can't beat the price. It's a fraction of the cost of it's heavy classic american made counterparts. It sounds sweet, and produces wide dynamic range. High, mids, and lows are all great. It may not have the incredible bass response of american speakers, but that's a personal preference, I like the wide versatile frequency response this speaker has. I placed this in my all-tube 1980 Fender 75, yes a marshall speaker in a fender, but wow does it work great. The amp sings now, high and low. It may be a 75 watt speaker in a 75 watt amp, but it's held up well so far, and I'm sure it will continue to hold up because it's a Celestion, these things hold. Great deal for a great speaker. Get this.

Marshal 1960a uses Celestion G12-75's. Enough said.
In younger days, I lugged around a Marshall half stack, consisting of a 100 / 50 watt JCM 900 Model 4100 head, and slanted 1960a 4X12 cabinet. It was the s***! In a moment of stupidity, one of our studio speaker cabinets stopped working. Without thinking, I unplugged the speaker cord, and the 1960a cord, and did the dumbest thing (close, anyway) I'd ever done. I tested the power amp by plugging its cable into the Marshall cabinet. In a millisecond I toasted four Celestion G12-75's, from blown transistors sending out 90 VDC. I was bummed, and broke, but had an old 15 cabinet, until I saved for two new Celestions. I boarded the bottom, and used it as a 2X12 cabinet. I then saved up, and had Mueller Speaker re-cone the rest, and had two converted from 16, to 8 ohms. I traded the Marshall in for a (lighter - lol) Fender Hot Rod DeVille 2X12, and although I loved the clean Eminence sound, I didn't like the overdrive. I put the two 8 ohm Celestion G12-75's in it, and love it! A few years later the H R D, was too heavy. I had a couple custom made Mueller 12 cabinets built. One was close backed with a series / parallel switch, the other open. The H R D speakers lived in them, andn I again downsized to a Classic 30. I threw away the Blue Marvel crap speaker, and used the combo as a head for the 2X12 cabinets. After a while I needed space, so I unloaded the open back cab, and put that speaker in the Classic 30, and used it with, or without the external cab. Older still, I fell into a deal on a lighter (half the wight of it's ceramic magnet predicessor) Celestion Century Vintage Neo, and while pulling the speaker out of the Classic 30, I dropped it on a post. That lead to me replacing that Fender Eminence, with this tried and true Celestion G12-75. I'll get Mueller to re-cone the Eminence, after the Arctic conditions here in the north east vacate. Phew!!! G12-75's RULE!

Works great.
Speaker works great but they ship it with the tiny foam pieces in a bag as a bumper. They exploaded all over the speaker during shopping and took us hours to clean. They need to find another way to protect it for shipping as this almost destroyed the speaker.

The music standard
Very ni e and the exact sound I expected. It is OEM for the marshall 1960 cabs for 20 years. I have 2 in a 212 cab under my JCM 2000 combo and it will RIP your ears off. These speakers will stay smooth with 100 watt tube power cranked.

Great all a round speaker
These speakers are my all around go to cabinet speakers. Great for rock to country. Marshall uses these for their 1960A/B 4 12 cabs
