Q: Is the time supposed to set automatically?

Yes, but it will always set it 2-3 minutes slow. Even if you manually adjust it, it will reset itself slow again within days.

Q: Does the auto dst icon only come on after the 2nd sunday in march?

This is not an atomic clock and the description is misleading. The clock has a watch-like CR-2032 behind the regular AA batteries that keeps the time, but the time has to be set manually. The description says it's auto set, but this is a lie. If you take the CR-2032 battery out and put it again, time will reset to 12:00 and it will never auto set to the right time again, you have to do it manually. The time on the clock when you first received it, it's whatever time it was set at the factory, it will never auto set to the perfect time since this is not an atomic clock. Also, even if you do set manually, there is no way to set the seconds, thus, the clock will never show the perfect time, you will always have at least a minute of difference.

The clock is electric, it is a USB cord that goes into a plug that goes into the outlet.
