Give it a few extra stars if you can! This is the best. I have similar tools and some are good, but this one is in a class by itself. The strong steel shank is solid, running the full length of the tool. The steel is a high quality, offering a sharp edge. And one thing I really appreciate is that the handle has just enough shape to provide a comfortable, sure grip, not the square, sharper cornered handle on many others. The clip on the tool holder/holster slips easily onto my belt to keep the tool ready to use at all times.If you have not used one of these tools before, and sadly I never discovered how helpful they are for too many years, I can tell you that it will quickly become one of your favorite garden tools. Not only does it make digging out deep rooted weeds like dandelions an easy job but it works very well for transplanting and many other chores as well. I reach for it every few minutes for one chore or another.

Looking through old Amazon orders, I bought this is 2017 - 6 years ago - and it's still my go-to weeding tool, would panic (and probably sell the house) without it. Seriously, I have 2 of these and nothing beats them in extracting any kind of weed (trowels do not come close) plus they are handy for other jobs. Good idea to get it with a bright colored handle (or paint it bright red) to reduce chance of losing it.

The edge is quite sharp and the metal is pleasingly stout. I really feel like I could leaver out a rock with this and not worry about it bending like a spoon in ice cream (like with my cheep trowels). My only critique is that the handle is a bit basic, it's very boxy and doesn't really fit the hand well, but the blade is full tang with proper rivets in the handle, so at least I can be assured that It's not going to fall apart. Worth the money I paid all day long and twice on Sunday!UPDATE: It's now September and I've been using this for a whole season. It is my absolute favourite gardening tool. Even though the handle seemed a bit boxy, I've had no issues using it. I've pried up large (at least 5 lb. or more) rocks out of planting holes and still it hasn't bent and the handle shows no damage. Upgraded my rating to 5 stars!

Honestly very happy with this one. Knife is sturdy held its edge very well. Not the greatest for quickly opening a box, due to the curve on it but still very durable and useable as a hori hori it is a perfect example and perfectly balanced, full tang design with robots being done correctly and real wood. I’ll probably be buying more products from that manufacturer seeing as this knife was done this well. The sheath could of been done better. One of those half scabbard half sheath would of been better but when that’s the only thing I can find to complain about this is a solid purchase.

I like this tool, It’s very sturdy. My only suggestion would be: it would be nice to have the serrated edge on both sides to help for left-handers.

Sturdiest garden tool have ever had in my hands. Sharp serrated edges & surprisingly room, slightly scooped blade that’s quite long. Like 1/4 knife & 3/4 longer hand shovel. Large markings that, even with low vision, I can see. This thing’s the bomb. Lifetime tool. No regrets.

I've had this tool for a year now and am very pleased with how it's performed and how well it's held up. TBH it's hard to beat for the price. I actually wrote a much longer and more in depth review for the product but for some reason the Amazon censor bot found it to violate some sort of sensitivity standard. It's a good tool. It's inexpensive. It has done what I expected. I use it to work in soil. I use it to cut roots. It's not a crowbar. It's not designed to pry up boulders. It's not meant to be a tool to replace all other tools.

Best garden shovel I ever had! - By far. This won't bend or break. I use the blade to saw through roots. I use for gardening and also for sprinkler repair.
