Morphy Richards 52 RCSS 52-Litre Oven Toaster Grill (Black) + Morphy Richards 300-Watt Hand Mixer (White)

I had bought this product after reading reviews about a lot of different OTGs. I was looking for a price drop and bought it during the Amazon Sale, for about 8,700. Was delivered the next day itself. I am putting up the review to share my experience and a few precautions to avoid disappointment after the purchase.The product is an OTG , not a microwave oven. You can google the difference, this is for making a perfect dish, not for a quick cooking or reheating.Upon delivery , I unpacked it and saw if all the components mentioned are there. The product had everything as mentioned. I wanted to be sure that everything worked as expected, so tried to connect it to the power outlet. That's when i felt that the cord is too too small, max 1 1/2 feet and it was a 16 amp connector. Made a few adjustments on the kitchen counter and connected it. Turned it on with rotisserie,both top and bottom heating and the convection fan function , to make sure that all the rods are working and the fan and the rotisserie are spinning. In a few min ,I felt a little heat on the glass and the inside was well lit with light, could see the rotisserie rod spinning, but could see or hear the convection fan running. I turned off after a few minutes, carefully touch the heating elements to see if all where working , felt all the six rods where hot. Tuned on the convection function with the door open and i could feel the air from vents (so the fan was working and super silent). The outside of the oven gets hot too, be careful and keep it out of reach to children.It is better to have a oven thermometer as the temperature on the dial is just for setting, to know the actual temp we need an oven thermometer.I have tried making pizza , it came out awesome.Some pros and Cons:Pros:Looks elegant and good quality built.Heats up really quick (about 10 - 15 min).Accessories supplied, gives a good start to the oven experience.Size is good enough for a large pizza.The light and the convection fan , makes cooking a lot easier.Cons:Quality could have been better (I found that the door needs to be a little adjusted every time i close it)The power cord is too short.Overall satisfied, with the product.Updated : I just got the oven thermometer, verified if it reaches the set temperature. I had set the temperature at 230 and the temperature in the oven was 250 when it turned off the heating elements(heard a click when the temperature reached 250),after about 10 min . The extra 20 degree could have been because I had placed the themometer on the top most slot, anyhow it reached the said temperature. But the heat is not very evenly distributed, as the fan is too slow.

I conduct baking classes and have both 52 and 60 ltr ovens of Morphy Richards. Spacewise the 52 ltr is good, as you can bake 2 trays of things like cookies, which don't need height, at a time. But the temperature control is much better in the 60ltr one.

Liked everything about this product. It's looks, features everything. Works perfectly, delivered very safely to my address and it is worth every penny. Thank you Amazon for this wonderful product.

The glass door bursted into pieces at first use!

The OTG was received in a torn carton that had probably been mishandled during transportation. However, the OTG inside the carton had survived luckily without any visible damage. Bad packaging by the seller ''CLOUDTAIL INDIA''. The OTG's Carton should have had a external box and bubble wrap packing like the one that all ordered AMAZON products arrive in.Now for the worst part ..... The door of the OTG does not shut fully, leaving a gap of a few millimeters on the top, through which the heat radiates out making those standing next to it feel equally ''baked''. The temperature control thermostat is most inaccurate and cannot hold a even temperature between 90 degrees centigrade and 200 degrees centigrade. It is only ''accurate'' at its max temp setting of 230 degrees centigrade. This is probably due to the defective door, as the OTG leaks out internal heat.For example, if the OTG dial is set for 200 degrees centigrade the internal temp is only 160 degrees centigrade. I checked the temp readings with 2 different Oven thermometers placed side by side within the OTG. Whilst the thermometers showed accurate readings (both had the same reading), the OTG which had been set for a higher temp could not attain those temperatures, as shown by the far lower temperature meter readings.Finally, two other serious issues. The build quality is extremely flimsy with a very light gauge (thin) stainless steel sheet metal used for its body construction. It can get dented very easily, and due to its thin nature will not insulate the heat well within the oven. This explains the excessive heat felt on the outer body of the oven when it is in use. The cheap quality power cord that it comes with is barely 2 feet long !! If you do not have a power outlet socket right behind where you want to place the OTG in the kitchen, then god help you, as ''extension box's'' cannot handle the 2000 watt load of the oven. They will burn out sooner or later and might result in a fire too.I returned the item to Amazon for a refund. A bad experience that caused wastage of my time. Only silver lining is Amazons 10 day return policy which is helpful if one receives a defective or unsatisfactory product.

Knobs of the OTG are not fixed to the product. Someone tries to stick them to the OTG as we could see Glue on the knobs. This is nothing less than cheating...pl look at the photos for better understanding. Please replace the product with a new one.

The door is not shutting properly, need the door fixed

This is the first time ,I am disappointed about Amazone where I bought a OTG worth Rs 10000+ having no user manual and recipe Books , I came to know that thing when a representative from morphy richards told me and it is quite un usual that a product without usermanual .
