I purchased this because originally I was looking for a night light for my now 8 month old. I had been trying to get him to sleep alone in his crib for a while and I noticed with little tricks here and there it was working. I wanted something to be able to see when I have to go in his room if he cries in the middle of the night and I stumbled upon this. I absolutely love this machine and recommend it to anyone who is looking into a different way to soothe their baby. It has different sounds available as well as different lighting options AND it even has a timer so the machine does not have to stay active all night. I usually play the thunderstorm setting for him and have found that the blue lighting helps him sleep through the night in comparison to the others available. I can say since I've added this on he is sleeping better even during nap time! You have the option to use it without light and only sound alone so it's great for those daytime naps.You can use a wall charger or anything that will allow a USB adapter. In our case, I use the USB adapter that's on the back of his TV in his room to power this machine. The device does have to be powered on to work so please keep that in mind. So for example, I will turn on the TV to a blacked out frame and then turn the machine on and adjust the sound and lighting.It does come with a small remote to adjust the sound, volume, lighting, and timer. The remote does require AAA batteries. You can continue to use the machine without the remote, but you cannot do much besides basic adjustments without it.I cannot recommend this enough, especially for the price. You will not regret this purchase.

My daughters used to have a colorful light that had bluetooth capability, but it became an issue when other people in our apartment complex started trying to stream music at random hours of the night on their night light. Unfortunately, there is no way to really control who has access to the Bluetooth capability, so we had to buy a new night light that not only changed colors, but could possibly still play music or sounds without needing that capability. We are so pleased to have found this night light! It came with everything but a plug for the usb cord, but we have plenty of plugs like that in our home--so it wasn't a major issue. I really don't understand why there aren't more night lights like this one, because it can be a pain when you have people randomly connecting to your kid's bluetooth night light--I will take this night light over a fancier one that has that capability for sheer peace of mind--and the best part? I can create a playlist of soft music for my kids to listen to when they sleep on either a memory card or an external source like my phone, or a tablet or computer; or they can listen to the sounds pre-loaded on the 128mb mini sd card that comes loaded in the night light! This night light is still new to our household, will try and update my review here at a later time to let you know how it holds up!***********Update as of 7/31/2023: We still use our night light and are happy with it, but a few of the bulbs have died that are blended with the color settings. Considering replacing this night light with either another one of these, or seeing if there's something new out there that will be worth our time without the bluetooth connectivity added into it. The girls like the nature sounds that came with this, and have grown accustomed to some light sounds while they go to sleep. Overall, very pleased with this purchase, as it still works!

This is a really bright, fun light! It has sound also! I bought it as a gift for my six year old grandson and he finds it very easy to use. He’s so proud of it! He uses it every night! He had one little problem with the remote control not working after a few months. (The light was still useable because it has controls on the base of the actual light) I contacted the company to see about a replacement remote and within two days they had sent me a new light with a new remote! No questions asked!! Soooo great customer service too!! You can’t beat that deal!!

Bought as a Christmas gift for someone who needs some extra relaxation in their life. PROs: Beautiful colors; and choices of sounds. CONs: Doesn’t always stick to the selected sound; sometimes the color just changes on its own, without selecting the rotating option; and doesn’t have enough volume. If you want to submerge into another “world,” the volume should be able to get somewhat louder instead of really having to focus on listening hard for the water or bird sounds, as well as the selected calming color should stay on rather than at times change on its own. Otherwise, for the price, it is a relaxing, unique gift!

The media could not be loaded. I love this product I have bought 2 so far! There are many great soothing sounds to choose from. Comes with a remote. It helps my kids wind down after a long day or playing to many games hahaAnd also the range the lights reach is impressive for such a low price for this great product! I do recommend buying it.Only thing I don’t like is you can’t use batteries it comes with a cord just like any other android phone uses.

I purchased this for my mother that is staying with us while she is recovering from surgery. Her bedroom is next to a bathroom that is not private. It is as bright and loud as you would want it to be. You have full control of the brightness and the volume. It fits on the nightstand she has pilled up with her special things and is not in the way at all!!!! She uses it as her nightlight also. This is the perfect gift for anyone! The ocean sounds are soooo calming I need another one to drown out my snoring husband!The remote was NOT easy for me to open but I handed it to my husband and it popped right open! just so you know.... get a butter knife after you take out the screws and gently open the battery compartment with just a tiny bit of pressure! Yes I am blonde and that made me mad but, I learned how to do it so you do not have to look like a true ditzy blonde!!! YOU ARE WELCOME!
