Every morning I make an espresso or two. We have an awesome Rancilio Sylvia machine, which we've had for at least 15 years, which came with a plastic tamper. And tamping was always my least favorite part, I now know why, not only was the tamper the wrong size, but had no weight and had a convex end and my coffee would either go out of the edges or would be uneven from side to side, it would get grounds everywhere, and still have coffee dust on it, etc. This did always annoy me, but I didn't realize how crippled I really was using the wrong tool for the job. As luck would have it, I lost that tamper a few weeks ago, and tried everything in the kitchen to replace it, including the top of a sundried tomato jar. My wife rescued me by researching tampers and ordered the Vienesso - 58 mm. The first time I used it, I was immediately reminded that there is a proper tool for EVERY job. Who knew?! Of course many know, and now I am one of them. If you are still using an inferior tamper, buy this beauty, it will change your coffee making experience. It also comes with an awesome storage pad that also serves as a packing surface without damaging your counter top. Who knew!?

This tamper is perfect for my espresso machine. Had no problem using it and the build is very sturdy with great wood quality. The wood is not laminated so it doesn't shine which I prefer. Cleaning is very easy as you can unscrew out the handle from the base and clean. Do note that there could be some minor imperfections in the base metal which I noticed on mine but it wasn't like a dent or caused any impact on my preparation. The rubber silicone base is a nice touch too to place my tamper on without damaging it but functionality wise, not much you can do besides resting the tamper on it after you cleaned it. I would highly recommend getting this as the build is great.

If you care about the country of origin for the products you buy, be aware that despite the seller being from Berlin, Germany, the product is made in China. I wish I had known because I would not have bought this.

After looking for days at tamper options, I decided on the Vienesso and could not be happier!!A wonderful addition to my home espresso setup! Very solid, great looking wood handle that nicely compliments my stainless steel machine (would also look great with black) and love the rubber tray to catch any grounds!

Nice wood finish with removable stainless steel tamper for cleaning. My family likes it, so I like it. ;-)

Made from excellent materials, wood looks very clean. Fits well with the delonghi 380/385. I’ve been using it every day for my espresso drinks, will buy this brand again for my next espresso machine!

This is a great little tamper... solid, heavy, and if you like wood trim, classy looking. I enjoy using it. The little rubber coaster it comes with is a nice touch.

Der Tamper ist hochwertig verarbeitet und erleichtert aufgrund seines hohen Eigengewichtes das Anpressen des Espresso-Pulvers. Durch die beiliegende Matte kann man den Tamper auch gut gesondert lagern.

Produkt war okay, allerdings war bereits beim ersten Auspacken Rost auf der Oberseite. No Go!Packet war zudem auf zwei Seiten aufgeschnitten!! Dafür kann der Händler nichts, nur Amazon aber dennoch in der Gesamtbewertung mit eingeflossen!Sehr enttäuschend.

Also die Qualität überzeugt, sowohl Holz als auch Metall sind gut verarbeitet.Die Gummimatte ist auch gut.Es macht auch zusammen einen hochwertigen Eindruck.

Dieser Tamper ist wirklich sehr empfehlenswert. Er liegt mit dem Holzknauf gut in der Hand und hat ein ordentliches Gewicht, so dass man leicht den nötigen Druck erzeugen kann, um das Pulver optimal festzudrücken. Ich bin wirklich sehr zufrieden.

Leider kam das Teil völlig zerkratzt an. Auch löst sich die Platte oft vom Holzstab.
