6 Foot DB25 25 Pin Serial Port Cable Male to Female RS232

I got this cable because I needed to connect an old-school serial modem to an Apple IIe. This cable worked out great and got me up and running. The quality of the cable looks good. The pins were solid and the thickness of the cable was great. I don’t see any issues in the future with this and it looks like a great find.

A good example of what used to be a commodity item. Some of us are using our PCs for things that aren't all that common. While rearranging my shop to reposition my CNC and manual machine tools, I ended up needing a cable just a bit longer than the one I had on that machine. Found this one, ordered it, it arrived and it worked exactly like it's supposed to. Just plain works right is a good summary.

What some would call a 5 Pin Serial Port Cable, others would know as an ILDA cable. I was installing three 2000.milliwatt lasers in a permanent installation and needed variouls length runs of ILDA cable. I ordered several of these cables to daisy chain the units, whcih I then ran into a Pangolin FB3QS that connected to a PC running QuickShow. The cables performed perfectly, and they were very reasonably priced.

Given the diameter of the cable, I doubted all 25 pins were connected. But they are. So I'd put this in the lightweight category of install and leave it. Might not hold up to lots of field usage.

I am pleasantly suprised that this type of cable is still available. Way cheaper than the OEM cable but works really well.
