Automatic Soap Dispenser, Apanage Soap Dispenser Equipped Stainless Steel w/Infrared Motion Sensor Upgraded Waterproof Base for Bathroom & Kitchen

I like this dispenser enough that I'm on currently on my third one. It works wonderfully and looks great in my kitchen. Although after about a year and a half, the sensors seem to stop working. I don't think it's the batteries because even after changing them the light still flashes, but it simply won't dispense the soap. It does work well enough when it does work that I think it is worth replacing it.

I liked how easy it was to change the batteries, add soap, and change the amount of soap that came out. The look was decently sleek as well. I didn't like 2 things: you couldn't tell how much soap was in the dispenser unless you opened it and it stopped working after a year. If it didn't stop working on me, I would have given it 5 stars.

I got two of this. They both stopped working after a month or so. I read several reviews and questions, but couldn't find an answer. So tried my luck with the following steps and it worked:1. Empty the soap and remove batteries.2. Rinse inside with luke warm water.3. Add 2-3 teaspoons of vinegar and some luke warm water half way. Let it sit for 2-3 minutes.4. Tilt it gently and put the batteries in place, and after few seconds verify if the lights come up when you press -/+.5. Once you confirm the batteries are working, swipe your hand a couple of times for the sensor to work and dispense the vinegar/warm water solution. If it doesn't, shake the solution and repeat step 5.6. After a couple of shakes, it would work.So my inference is, the product is great, but over a period of time, it is possible that soap solidifies and get stuck in the way. Good luck using it.

It worked fine. Adjusting the amount that you want to come out is tricky and depends upon the thickness of your soap. Then it stopped working. I put in new batteries and it still doesn't work. No light, no "dispensing" sound. Nothing. Very disappointing.

We do use this dispenser regularly on the lowest liquid output setting in the kitchen and it works well. However, take care not to bump the unit as it isn't very heavy and could move easily. Wish a higher quality material such as stainless steel/brushed nickel was available as the housing seems plastic but good for the price but not impressive on a marble countertop.

I bought this because my husband was leaving all sorts of bottles of soap all over the place. I said, "This has got to stop." I purchased this and it works just wonderfully. So easy to fill, just the right amount of soap comes out and it looks so nice on the top of my kitchen counter. It matched the new stainless steel faucet just perfectly and tucks in right and out of the way. Took the husband quite a while to use it...bad habits are hard to break but he loves it now. Also, that little sponge with the smooth side and the little bit rougher side was great. I have to find out where to buy that.

This automatic soap dispenser does what it is supposed to do. It delivers a splash of liquid soap when you put your hand under the spout and break the light signal. Enough said. I had thought I was getting a larger size capcity and that is my own fault and the supplier's fault. It works fine, just be sure it is the size you want.3/15/22 This is an update on the Apanage soap dispenser. This unit comes with a 18 month warranty, approximately 2 months after the warranty expired the unit stopped working. I tried 2 sets of new batteries with no success. There are only 2 controls-use the - button to reduce amount of soap dispensed and turn the unit off; use the + button to increase the amount of soap and turn the unit on. No other tweaks can be made. I contacted Amazon and they provided a link to send Apanage an email, which I did complaining and explaining that the unit was not maltreated by me and that I felt a failure just 2 months post warranty was unacceptable and that I thought I deserved a replacement. Whomever received my email sent a message back through Amazon that a replacement would be provided. I sent a shipping address and within 2 days the replacement arrived. I was impressed by Apanage's customer support and rapid, no hassle response. New unit works fine just like the old one pre-failure. I think Apanage deserves some credit for being responsive and supportive of their product and their customer.

I bought this to replace another similar item that died after two years. This one bought in June 2021 stopped working in December 2021. Most mornings, I had to touch the small dispenser hole to get it to work (defeating the purpose of touch-free operation). I thought maybe it was being blocked because the soap was too viscous, so tried diluting the liquid soap I was using, but it still happened regularly. It also stopped dispensing completely. The motion detector was working, but it would make a very sad humming sound like it was trying to dispense, but just couldn't. This happened after a couple of months, but somehow, I was able to get it to start working again after rinsing the interior well. Now, the rinsing is not working to help. It still makes the sad humming sound, but nothing comes out. I hope their customer service sees this review and contacts me with advice.Update: no one contacted me, but upon replacing the batteries (that weren't completely dead yet), it did start working again. Still temperamental, but I bumped it from 2 to 3 stars.

Ahora, puedo opinar, pues ha pasado bastante tiempo (un poco más de un año) desde la adquisición. Funciona muy bien, permite regular la cantidad de jabón a dispensar. No es necesario usar ningún jabón especial, yo uso cualquiera de los jabones de manos que vienen ya con dispensador o para rellenar. Poco consumo de pilas, pues en este tiempo he hecho un sólo cambio de pilas, y somos dos personas que lo usamos frecuentemente. Volvería a comprarlo.

L article acheté en octobre ne fonctionne plus... est ce possible de avoir un nouveau ? Merci pour votre réponse

Ich nutze diesen Spender in der Küche und finde es sehr praktisch, dass man kontaktlos die Seife erhält.....so bleibt alles sauber.Das Material wirkt nicht so stabil, erfüllt aber auf jeden Fall seinen Zweck.Die Menge der Seife die rauskommt kann man einstellen, was gut geklappt hat. Es tropft auch nichts nach.Ich bin zufrieden.

The product arrived within the time frame the seller noted at point of sale. I ordered one silver and one grey and both look shabby and cheap but they work well. I will, simply, resort to the standard hand pump dispenser when we have guests.
