Black Ora Unica 42 MM Wrist Watch w/ Leather Band

The Ora Unica is one of the most unique watches I have had the pleasure of owning and is a purchase I never regret. Let's start with the build quality, always an important consideration for a watch at this price level. The stainless steel case has a semi-brushed look that is both attractive and pretty resistant to scratches and scuffs. The glass on the front is also quite tough and has yet to show even the slightest scratch. I was concerned when I was buying it that the dual-disk hour and minute hand design would not come off as clean and subtle as it does in the online photos, but I was pleased to find that this was not the case. It really does look like a visual paradox unless you are looking VERY closely. I have never noticed any gain or loss of time, so it seems to have accurate movement. The leather band is a bit thin and may break a bit sooner than some, but its thinness also gives it more flexibility and frankly I have yet to see any real sign of distress after several months of frequent use. Also, the band is quite long. Admittedly, I have somewhat skinny wrists for a man, but still, normally I am not using the 1st or 2nd notch on a watch. This calls in to question a bit the assertion that it is unisex as I suspect many women will find that the band is simply too long for them, plus there is always the 36mm option.On to design, probably the strongest part of this watch. Everything looks very clean and attractive. It is both understated and striking, meaning it doesn't shout "Look at me! Aren't I awesome?!" and could be used as a classy addition to a semi-formal outfit but also never has to worry about being bland or forgettable. I didn't buy this watch to get compliments, but I have to admit that having people try to figure out how it works can be quite fun and their comments have been universally adoring. That said, it will take some time to learn to read it quickly and you will never be perfectly accurate. But in this age of smartphones, does anyone really need to have the exact time on their wrist anymore?In conclusion, this is a well made, classy watch that will be a joy to wear over and over. I highly recommend it.

This was a gift to my husband after we gave birth to our first child, it was his own "push present". He loves unique and strange watches and this is definitely unique. I try to find watches that look difficult to read, but he had mastered this one in about an hour. He receives lots of compliments on it and people are really confused on how it works. Most people tell him they don't think it's a real watch! His favorite part is that it's not digital, he enjoys unique watches that don't just rely on a digital face to be unique but structural design and thought.We'll probably be purchasing a new band, leather just doesn't hold up well with day to day wear. The watch and band are good quality but the band is somewhat thin and my husband can be hard on his clothing/accessories so we'll be swapping it out for a metal one. If you planned on wearing this only with certain outfits/occasions then the leather band would be fine.This is a great gift, either for yourself or someone else. Anyone who enjoys watches or statement accessories would enjoy this piece.

I love this watch a lot and it is super sweet - a definite conversation piece and a nice flair for my style. However, I'm a little worried about changing the battery. An insert in the packaging told me "the battery is inserted during manufacturing and the life cannot be guaranteed" so I have no idea how long my watch has been running or how much life the battery has left, and a careful inspection of the back makes me wonder if it's even possible to change the battery at all. There's hardly a lip at all on the back plate of the watch, and I know watch repairmen can do amazing things with tiny components, but I think it's going to be a pain in the butt someday in the future for somebody to try to replace the battery.Also, the glass on the front smudges easily from skin contact and doesn't clean readily.So it's a super amazing watch that is so incredibly unique looking, but suffers from some minor design flaws.

when i got this watch i was extremely excited cause i am so into this design. it seems so unique. BUT!!! then i found the problem---it seems to be working a little slow ... and ...after a night i found the time on it is totally wrong!!! several hours had passed but it shows only half an hour passed... Okay. I have no other choice but take it to repairmen since i am in China so sending it back to America shall be Cost-effective. and the repairman confirmed it was not the problem of the battery. so... it is the problem of the watch itself! Now the watch is still under repairing... how could a new watch be like this? unbelievable! Extreme Disappointment！

Super cool watch, the only downside is that this watch doesn't last long. I had to buy other watch about after a year I bought this watch.

This is hands down one of the coolest watches I have in my collection. I've looked through the rest of the Nava Time series and have settled on two more that I'm going to buy as soon as I can save the money.I have a considerable watch collection and none of them have ever gotten as many compliments as the Orica Una. Over the last couple of weeks I've been wearing it almost non-stop.
