I am a Landscape Contractor and frequently we have to remove or prune trees and the best way to do that is to climb the tree. I use this product frequently for just that. I saw a friend of mine using this particular carabiner in his operations and really liked the overall size of the carabiner and the amount of weight that it could hold.

I got this product for my rock climbing gears. The product is as what I described on the website. The frame and the gate are very sturdy. However, the locking sleeves are made of thin metal which I hope to be made of sturdy metal as the remaining of the product.

They were exactly what I was expecting, some cheap carabiners. My plan is to use these as bail-binders for rock climbing. They are low quality, but if you were expecting something nice for 12.99 then your crazy. The locking mechanism works well, if you twist it tight it locks really good. I wouldn’t recommend these for anything but bail-beaners.
