They're nuts. Taste like walnuts. Haven't found any shells, so that's good.
Not a much to complain about, however I had expected a totally airtight, shrink-packed seal. This was a store package (qty of 2 in my purchase) in a brand I've purchased before at my local grocery chain store. Not quite fresh as cracking a nut open and eating, but a whole lot easier to do for the quantity needed.

RANCID WALNUTS
I have in the past bought this brand of walnuts at SAMS, however buying them here resulted in nasty-tasting rancid nuts that. A definitely harm one’s health!

Always pur base from Sams but when in a crunch its great to know Amazon has them
