Perfect, works if you follow the instructions
If you follow the instructions it will work perfectly. It's thick and bulky but works perfectly and I can't complain. Has protected my teeth in lacrosse in multiple occasions

Best Sleeping/Night Guard I've Ever Used
This review is from the perspective of a nighttime user, not an athlete. As a disclaimer, Shock Doctor does state that this product is not intended for overnight use.I've been grinding and clenching my teeth for about 15 years. I've done it so badly that I've caused fracturing and chipping on my teeth and have even ground right through fillings (not cheap!). In that time, I've tried about a dozen different types of night guards, ranging from the cheapest OTC ones to the $500 laser-fitted prescription guards. None of them have worked -- I either grind right through the material or I still clench so hard that I wake up with jaw pain and a headache.Who would've thought that an inexpensive sports mouth guard would be my savior. It's really unbelievable how much this has improved my sleep and overall quality of life! The gel-like mold acts like a cushion to absorb the pressure from my clenching, yet it's still firm enough to stop me from grinding. That cushion effect is the real game-changer; if you're a clencher, this is what you've been needing. It's true that it's a little bulky, but I've found that even though my mouth stays open a bit, absolutely no drool comes out. That was always a problem with past guards, so I like that!As a tip, I recommend running the front of it under water right before popping it in at night. It helps to get the front piece to fit comfortably under your top lip. And, of course, you want to rinse It every morning and wash it with a gentle soap once or twice a week.Bottom line: If you're suffering, you have to try this. For this price, it's worth a shot. I hope that you have the same outcome I have had.

Perfect for our needs, sized right.
We have used these exact mouth guards for our son for the last two flag football seasons, though this year is the first year we ordered online. When we started using these our son was age 4.We used these when he was 5 and will be using these this year when he is six. My son loves these, the only issue we have is my son chews on the end, like every other kid on the team, when they are waiting to play for more flavor release. For those wondering, these are boil and bite which work fine, even when my son was 4.This. Rings me to the second smreason I felt.complelled to write this revoew. I have seen a number of reviews and answers saying these are for toddlers. Toddlers to me are ages 1.5 through 3 years old They should not be needing mouth guards, and if they do tthey would be for medical reasons, not sports. With that said, when mine arrived I thought dang these are small. So I went to Dicks, where we have gotten these same mouth guards in years past. As you can see.in the pictures, the mouth guard I received.from amazon (the one on the left) is the exact same size at the youth ones of this brand at Dicks which fit my son. I feel these mouthgairds are true to size and not meant for toddlers. However, if you have any questions on if they are save yourself the hassle, pay more.money and go somewhere local and buy what you think will work.

Perfect Fit and Protection - Shock Doctor Gel Max Mouthguard
As someone who plays multiple sports, I've always known the importance of keeping my teeth safe during games, especially with hockey, lacrosse, and wrestling. The Shock Doctor Gel Max Mouthguard is my go-to for all my sports, and I couldn’t be more impressed. Here’s why I’m giving it a 5-star rating:1. Superior Protection: The Gel Max Mouthguard provides top-tier protection without being bulky. I’ve used several mouthguards in the past, but this one is by far the best when it comes to keeping my teeth safe during high-contact sports like hockey and lacrosse. It absorbs impacts well, giving me confidence during every hit and tackle.2. Comfortable Fit: One of the standout features of this mouthguard is the customizable fit. The boil-and-bite process is quick and easy, and once it’s molded to my teeth, it feels secure and comfortable. I can wear it for long periods without irritation, which is crucial when I’m on the field or rink for extended games or practices.3. Breathability and Speech: The Shock Doctor Gel Max Mouthguard doesn’t obstruct my breathing or make it difficult to talk. This is a huge plus when you need to communicate with teammates during the game. It has enough space around the mouth to keep airflow natural, and I don’t feel suffocated like I have with other brands.4. Durable Design: I’ve put this mouthguard through its paces during rough games, and it has held up beautifully. It’s made with high-quality materials that feel sturdy and durable, with no signs of wear even after multiple uses. The impact-resistant exterior keeps it intact, and the gel liner offers excellent shock absorption.5. Multi-Sport Use: I love how versatile this mouthguard is—it’s great for a wide range of sports, from hockey and lacrosse to wrestling and baseball. Whether I’m taking hits on the field or engaging in physical battles on the rink, it gives me peace of mind knowing that my teeth and jaw are protected.6. Easy to Clean: Another positive aspect is how easy it is to clean. After a game or practice, I simply rinse it under warm water, and it’s good to go for the next session. It doesn’t retain any bad smells, which is a plus when using it consistently.7. Affordable Protection: Considering the level of protection and comfort this mouthguard provides, the price is very reasonable. It’s a small investment for protecting your teeth and jaw during sports, and it's well worth it for the peace of mind it offers.Final Thoughts: If you play contact sports or just want to ensure the safety of your teeth during intense activities, the Shock Doctor Gel Max Mouthguard is a must-have. It’s comfortable, offers great protection, and works well in multiple sports. I feel confident using it every time I step onto the field, rink, or mat.🌟 Highly recommended! An essential piece of gear for any athlete, providing both comfort and top-notch protection.

Horrible Fit and Material
Bought correct size (adult) and followed instructions to the detail...but when placed this item in mouth (during molding process), it IMMEDIATELY/INSTANTLY wants to deform and does not stay in place over teeth. The guard fits crooked...no matter how much effort I put into lining it up with teeth while still warm...when I close my mouth it IMMEDIATELY falls/de-rails out of teeth!?Perhaps I was sent WRONG SIZE?I've repeated the process multiple times and every single time same result! The material is very rigid/hard/harsh and it's uncomfortable for prolonged use (more than five minutes!).The return period expired and so, I am forced to put this in the trash
