Super easy to install and program! No issues with transmission and signal in a large old house. Volume can be loud enough to be heard throughout the house. A good buy!

I bought this so that I'd know when the pool company was servicing the pool, and it works great for this purpose! The units recharge during the day as needed with the solar panel, and no wiring was needed to get a single from the backyard to the front of the house.So, why the 3 stars? I've found that the buttons on the remotes stick! About 50% of the time when the pool guys hit the button, it sticks in the down position. This starts a cacophony of musical tones as it plays the start of the doorbell tone -- over and over and over (and over and over and over and over, etc.) again. This continues until I go out by the pool and wiggle the button slightly to get it to release. If I could train the pool guys to do this, then it wouldn't be so bad, but there are too many of them, and they keep doing it. Further, it's be OK if it were a true doorbell and I wanted to go answer it, where I could just reset the button then. In this case, though, I just want to know when they show up to avoid startling the family, and it's almost more trouble than it is worth.So, it's a great solution for a remote doorbell, but if you want to use it REALLY far away, then you might want to look for something else.

I had this for several weeks, OK. Then one day after a delivery guy pressed the bell, the chimes went off and wouldn't stop. Even after I pulled chimer out of the socket and plugged it back in, it wouldn't stop and it would double repeat. I had to leave it out of the socket for at least an hour to plug it back in. It would work OK next two times then it would go mad again. And days later the chime would go off and there'd be nobody at the door. The wind set it off? Frustrating.

I really love this door bell. I live in a 2 story house with lots of space. The bell chimer is on the first level. I can hear the door bell chime in all parts of the house, it is very loud, which is great for my house. I also love the variety of chimes to choose from, and I love the fact that I do not have to use batteries for the door bell. Works great for the price.

I needed a doorbell for my new home and didn't want to deal with wiring or constantly replacing batteries. So far, this solar doorbell is EXACTLY what I wanted and works better than expected. Installation was easy and the volume and chimes are easy to adjust. I also like the light on the indoor receiver as I can see it even if I have loud music on (which has happened. I purchased the set of two units and set them to different tones for the front and back doors and have had no problems with reception or hearing the chimes in my 1700 sq ft home. Time will tell how they hold up to the winter weather, but they seem well built, have survived plenty of rain already, and for the price, I'll be happy if they last more than a year! GO SOLAR!

It was working great until one of the doorbells got very wet. I thought that these were supposed to be waterproof? I like the idea that you do not have to change the batteries all the time but what good does it do me if it gets wet and breaks.

It worked just like the ad mentioned. I picked the tune I wanted and installed in about 5 min or less. it took longer to read the instructions than to install love it I change the tune seasonally.

good item volume could be louder and instruction is a waste, just have to play with buttons and figure out on your own how to set diff tones with each receiver.
