Normaly, if you have corals you place it pushing the corrent against them with some safe distance between. I use them to move water in the surface and close to the bottom to avoid debris to store on it.

Sometimes you have to hit the impeller lightly to get it started. Make sure it's in water when you plug it in. It should make a humming noise when plugged in and the impeller isn't moving.

Q: Can i replace suction cups with magntic ones?

Hi there! The suction cups on this are not meant to be replaced with magnetic ones.

Q: Would this work in a saltwater fish tank only 36 gallon bow front tank?

If is for coral would work. I would get something around 500 by hour to 700 gallons per hour. For that size of tank. I belive would be to much.
