Suffering from Plantar Fasciitis for the past 6 months...these shoes were a game changer
I have been suffering with acute Plantar Fasciitis for 6 months. I've had 4 injections, was put in a boot for a month, and am currently in physical therapy 2 days a week. PT was my last option before "surgery", so I jumped on it. After a month in PT I did find it helpful, but still suffered with the pain when I would walk long. BTW... I was used to walking 5 miles a day, along with going to the gym 4-5 days a week before this happened to my foot. So I was very active until this happened to me. My PT Dr suggested that I buy a pair of Vionic shoes. The ones that I've seen in the past were pretty ugly, and I wasn't keen about the idea. But after thinking about it for a week or so I decided that these were not so bad. I got the purple ones, and they are exactly the same color as pictured. Although they look like a tie up shoe, they are not. They are a slip in shoe which some people may need a shoe horn to put them on. I don't.The day that I recevied them I immediatly put them on and started to walk, and I'll be darned if I didn't notice a difference within the first few steps. GAME CHANGER!!! I have only had them 6 days and have worn them every day. Today my PT thought I was doing so good that she cancelled my other appointment this week, and wants to see me next week to see how I do for a week without therapy. If I'm good, she is ready to let me go! Woo hoo!!! What a long process this has been. Anyone who suffers from this condition, I feel for you, and the reason for my post. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars is because I think the shoe would be PERFECT if they added a little extra padding to the heel. I know that if it had padding I would be well in less time. Other than that these shoes have been a God send. NOTE: Make sure that you check and see if you can return your shoes for a full refund before you order, just in case you need to return for some reason. Because I ordered a pair of Vionic sandals on here, and had to return because of the fit, and although I received a refund, it was not put back onto my credit card. I was given it in the form of Amazon crtedit. Good luck to all of your Plantar sufferers, and I hope that you find relief from your pain.

Excellent shoe!
I looked at these shoes for a week before I bought them because they were expensive but I desperately need something for heel pain. I walk a lot for my job on concrete floors so these are perfect. A lot of the reviews say you need to break Vionic shoes in for a few hours at a time before wearing them full on but I didn't have that problem at all. They are true to size, I have medium (not narrow or wide) feet and wear 8.5 and these fit me perfectly. They are just a tiny bit tight in the toe box but honestly you dont even notice. I love these shoes so much and plan on buying more Vionics shoes. The quality is excellent even considering there's a made in China tag on the inside.

Perfect!
These tennis shoes fit right out of the box! Very comfortable and fit perfectly. I bought a size 8 regular even though in Vionic sandals I wear a size 7. You can wear these with or without socks and they are just as comfortable. The arch support is moderate, not as the sandals, which have more support; however, the support is better than any other tennis shoe I’ve tried out in the market (and boy have I tried many). I found these Vionic tennis shoes really helped my plantar fasciitis. I’m hooked on Vionic! ❤️

Loved these walking shoes from Vionic.
I've owned several pair of Vionic walking shoes. This pair did not disappoint. I purchased the purple color. Got them in the mail, packed them in my suitcase and wore them for a week walking all over Washington D.C. No need to break them in. Perfect support. I have bunions on both feet, so I always order in a size wide. I normally wear a size 9, but with a walking shoe I order a 1/2 size larger, so I purchased 9 1/2 W. Perfect fit.

Love them
I have had pain in my left foot for months and bought these shoes to help. I was not sure how it could help when I purchased them but thought I would try them. I put them on for a bit around the house and I was amazed that the pain actually lessened. I was able to walk 3 miles with very little pain and hope that it will only get better. They are very comfortable.

Really light material
OK, I am one of those people that only wear Vionics. Everyone knows the arch is what it's all about. These have that arch, but the material is so light, you can see the outline of my toenails. And like other reviews, I found my heel slipping out of the back of the shoe, so had to return.

Not very supportive.
I have been dealing with plantar fasciitis for over a year now. I needed to replace my everyday "athletic" shoes and decided to give these a try. I'm returning them. These are my second try with Vionics and I'm really not impressed. These don't have the support I need for my arches structurally in the shoe. I used my custom orthotics in them and there wasn't enough structure in the shoe to support them. The heel is fairly wide and doesn't come up very high in the back. There wasn't enough support to keep my feet from pronating. The sole is pretty flexible too, which for my feet is not a good thing.

Heel discomfort
I like its design and the built in inner soles for overpronators. With month's use, I find that the soles didn't cushion my feet very well and my heels began to feel the discomfort again due to the long-standing and walking nature of my work.

Such comfortable shoes
Such comfortable shoes for my 'funny ' feet. I bought them to wear round the house and they are worth the money.

Great arch support. Non-leather fabric.

Overall good but a bit pricy
It fits, it's comfortable all that I expected. I have neuroma which is why I ordered them. I"m not sure they are any more comfortable for my foot than my Saucony shoe however. I did try to contact the supplier with no luck. I am concerned about the lace loops as they appear to be fraying. Was disappointed not to hear back from them. I do think the loops will likely hold throughout the duration of the shoe but they don't look as good as they should.
