The Sherwood Tiga Snorkel is one of the best Dry Snorkels in Diving, and is a Scuba Lab's Tester's Choice Award Winners. The Tiga provides hours of comfortable safe snorkeling. The Tiga's dry valve quickly closes to keep the water out but opens just a quickly to allow fresh air in. And if any water does by chance enter the tube the large reservoir keeps the water away from your breathing and can be quickly expelled through the highly efficient silicone purge valve. The Quick Disconnect Snorkel Keeper connects to your mask in one click.

Absolutely the Best Dry Snorkel for Snorkeling (Not Scuba Diving).
We just got back from two weeks in the beautiful Caribbean and my family of four compared snorkels. I personally have tested a multitude of fins, masks, and snorkels during my time as a spear fisherman, scuba diver, free diver, and of course….snorkeler! And since our daughters were born and quickly took to the water I now get to test even more equipment. We literally have two large boxes out in our garage of masks, fins and snorkels.Just for the record, I did not get anything free or discounted for my reviews. I bought them on Amazon or a dive store just like you. There are two snorkeling snorkels that consistently get top reviews so I bought them both to compare. The Sherwood Tiga Dry Snorkel vs. the Cressi Alpha Ultra Dry. With one difference they are the same. They are both GREAT snorkels! They breathe great in all positions. They have comfortable mouth pieces. They're great. But no matter how many times I tell the kids to keep the snorkels out of the sand, they get sand in the snorkels. And that is the problem between these two. The purge valves on the bottom of the snorkels are both protected but as you can see in my attached photos the Cressi has tiny holes and the Sherwood has larger, longer slits. Sand and tiny shells get caught in the tiny holes but not in the larger, longer slits on the Sherwood. Simple as that. I was able to carefully remove the plastic piece with the tiny holes to clean out the chamber but it was really difficult and I had to be careful to not break the plastic. It wasn't easy but I was able to to it.So bottom line. Save yourself some cleaning time and buy the Sherwood. If you're wondering about the title I gave this review the answer is that you should use a non-dry snorkel for Scuba diving. Dry snorkels are buoyant underwater and they are too bulky and can cause more drag and may cause them to pull on your mask more than a streamlined non-dry snorkel.Bonus tip for women and anyone with long hair. Replace the mask clip on your snorkel with a Silicone Snorkel Keeper. Mask clips almost always get caught in your hair. The keepers won't. I have bought these and they work great. Great snorkel.
I bought this to replace my Sherwood Dry snorkel that I used and loved for 10 years. The Tiga has similar function, with a few improvements. It is absolutely a dry snorkel, and you don't really need to use your hand to clear it like the old version.I do like that I can unclip it from the mask strap, which makes it easy for transport and diving. Only comment is a person needs to be very careful not to lose the clip if you ever take it off the mask.

Outstanding Snorkel - Highly recommended purchase.
My wife and I have purchased a number of snorkels over the years. My wife is by far the most picky when it comes to being satisfied. The Sherwood Tiga Dry Snorkel is by far her favorite. She called it "life changing". She now can be head in the water for up to an hour without any discomfort or struggling with clearing the snorkel.Highly recommended!!!!!

Almost Perfect
Great snorkel with a nice deep well for clearing any errant water in the tube. The only reason it doesn't get a 5-star is the following: The mouthpiece doesn't have the bridge which I find easier to keep in the mouth without getting a tired jaw on a long day; and I like the float for the dry-snorkel plug to have a tad more weight to it so as to disengage quickly when you resurface. All in all, though, a great snorkel and I would recommend it.

and looks like it's made to be popped off
The very first thing I did when I got this snorkel was pop the top off. It's held on so loosely, and looks like it's made to be popped off, so I couldn't resist! Then it took 15 minutes to figure out how the floater and valve and top went back on.I would give this 5 stars if it came with a small diagram showing how that whole setup goes together. That's the only negative; everything else about this snorkel is superb. Really I want to give it 4.9 stars.

Worked great for snorkel trip
Had never tried this type of snorkel before and was so thrilled with how it worked. First time I went under water with it I needed to get used to the feeling but I loved not worrying about water washing over the top of me while we were swimming. Great buy!
