Not worth the money -- rather "dumbed-down"
I couldn't even say "it's okay", it just isn't the right book for anyone but a lower-division engineering student. (And at that, probably only if they are in motor control and power engineering.) The grammar is poor, but had the content been decent I would have let that slide. The only good feature is that the book was inexpensive. My recommendation: Save your money and just use the MathWorks online help. The information there is far more useful.Another recommendation: Take a look at "Simulation of Dynamic Systems with MATLAB and Simulink", Second Edition by Harold Klee and Randal Allen. It costs 4x as much but is at least an order of magnitude better in terms of content.

A tough read
Between the poor translation and the miss labeling of figures and descriptions, it was a painful and frustrating read. Nothing more frustrating when trying to learn a new programming language than reading the explanation of a script only to find that the associated script is a little different and the output screen is miss labeled and shows yet another variation. Scripts with lines showing the same entry more than once showed up in several chapters. The explanations of why certain approaches were taken and the explanation of various commands was thin. But it was inexpensive and I did learn a few things... by accident.

Yr3 BEng electrical engineering
I am a third year electrical engineering student. This year i was thrown into the deep end with matlab. I had never used it before yet i was required to carry out simulations of power electronic circuits and control systems. This book was my saviour. If you an engineering student, required to use matlab and simulink then you should not think twice about buying this book and working through the examples - it will give you what you need.

Not a good one!
More or less a print of the "Help" menu of MATLAB!You'd better to look for other sources / books, if interested to get familiar with the program.
