I was originally concerned about some reviews showing rust after use. Personally, I have ALWAYS water tested each and every stainless steel plate, bowl and utensil BEFORE its first use. I would never subject myself, my dog or anyone to rust exposure. That’s simply scary.Since the defect rate, based on poor vs good reviews seemed low, I took a chance and ordered and received the extra large bowls.As noted, I water tested both bowls submerged in tap water for a full week. As expected, both bowls passed the test perfectly with no speck of rust within the bowl, on or under the rims or anywhere underneath.I compared the two new bowls to my smaller stainless bowl I’ve had for more than a decade. As you can see the older bowl has a noticeably brighter polish under the scrubby wear. Overall, the new bowls are good to go. The also fit my extra large rug set perfectly. :)

Have the neater feeder stand already and wanted a few extra bowls so I can toss them in the dishwasher and always have a clean one ready. These are great build quality and very functional in the feeder. If you don't have the stand already you can use these just on the regular floor but they will slide around if you have tile or hardwood floors since they don't have a non-slip base (They are not designed to have them, they are designed for the stand).

Good depth for 2 cups of food. Easy to clean.

They are exactly as advertised. They fit a 4.75" feeder stand perfectly, unlike most other available replacement bowls. As I had read before purchasing, they are lighter than other bowls, but that doesn't affect their function!
