I have given this a short (one month) trial and it's been a very positive experience so far. I have spondylarthropy which affects my neck, spine, shoulders, and large joints. It is painful and debilitating and has resulted in significant loss of quality of life. For about 10 years, I have been using NSAIDs and biologicals combined with periodic radio frequency ablation and even joint replacement (knees) to try to get my life back. Some months ago, I began experimenting with turmeric/curcumin while continuing the other treatments. I wasn't sure how much benefit I was actually receiving from the curcumin. Recently, however, my physician banned me for life from NSAIDs due to kidney damage from long term use. I was frightened about the ramifications of abandoning NSAIDs, I am in my 50s. The golden years don't look all that great when you are looking at inevitable decline and constant pain. So in the absence of alternatives I stepped up the turmeric supplementation. I was not really hopeful - I am skeptical about supplements and fads and it seemed too good to be true that a plant product could ever approach the relief I was getting from powerful (and expensive) medications. Now it has been nearly a month since I stopped the NSAIDs and have relied completely on turmeric taken with piperine to increase bioavailability. I am happy to report the turmeric seems to be providing as much (or more) benefit as the NSAIDs I was previously relying on. So far, this seems to be the real deal and I am seriously a little shocked to find something that works. Four stars for now, I'll try to update my review after a few more months. If this supplement continues to provide this much benefit, I will abslutely encourage anyone with inflammatory disease processes to try it. It can apparently make a remarkable difference in quality of life. I have looked at various turmeric/curcumin formulations, and this one seems to be one of the best available.

I first found out about turmeric’s many health benefits from my studies of natural & alternative medicine, specifically herbal remedies. Turmeric kept showing up in the literature for traditional Indian and Chinese medicine as a powerful remedy for several maladies including arthritis, stomach problems, mental sluggishness, inflammatory bowel disease, liver ailments, even cancer.I am what one might call a curious skeptic. I was dubious of all these claims but, being curious, I wanted to give turmeric a fair shot.I was happy to find out that the side effects of turmeric reported to be very slight (stomach ache, nausea, diarrhea) and caused by excessive doses of turmeric.I also found out that there is a big difference between the efficacy of turmeric in powder form (what is sold in many cheaper turmeric supplements) and the extract of turmeric (which contains a much higher percentage of the active ingredient, curcumin). Turmeric extract standardized for 95% curcumin is considered the “gold standard” for turmeric supplements so I figured, if I’m going to give turmeric a fair shot, I should go with the highest quality.I chose Pure Life Botanicals Turmeric Extract Factors because it includes rosemary in the formulation. Like turmeric, rosemary has a tradition of improving digestion, increasing mental alertness, lifting up mood and helping with digestive problems.I’ve been taking this supplement daily for 2 weeks now. I cannot vow for all the claims praising turmeric but I can say that both my wife and I have noticed a noticeable increase in mental alertness and energy. This particular brand utilizes the compressed smooth pill that is oblong and easy to swallow. I cannot claim -YET- a huge difference in my joint aches. It is to early to tell. These pills have the key 2nd ingredient of 'black pepper' for quick absorption. And that is all the ingredients: Curcumin and 'black pepper'. My stomach is sensitive and these Curcumin pills do NOT cause me any stomach upset! I take several with my lunch and one before my dinner. I hope to report back a month or so from now w/positive results. I will definitely be buying at least one more bottle to make sure I give these a fair chance of getting into my system as I also take PPI's-but NOT w/these pills. Proton pump inhibitors are Nexium, Pep-Cid AC, etc that provide heartburn relief but they inhibit the absorption of critical minerals your body needs such as calcium, magnesium, etc. (Read up on them as you want to limit your use of PPI's as much as possible. I take mine at bedtime in the hopes that what I ate earlier in the day has been successfully digested.

My order shipped quickly, I received it the same day the company sent an email that it shipped. I've only been using it for a few days, so I don't see any differences yet, nor did I expect to this early on. I may come back in a month or so and edit this review with info about how this worked. Hopefully it will be good news!

I am almost 70 and want to keep joint pain far away from me. As a runner it comes and goes, I had used several other products throughout the years to keep me free from those joint pain; however, a friend told me about this Brand and I decided to try; it is working pretty good. This is the second order and I am sure I will keep buying as long as it works; no joint pain anymore. I gave it 5 stars because both the product and customer service were really great.

I had heard so many good things about Turmeric. I heard about it on Dr. Oz too. After reading the other reviews I decided to give it a try. I've only been taking it for a short time. So far it has helped with inflammation pain. I will continue to use it for all the wonderful benefits it has.

I have been taking these for a couple of weeks. I have had bursitis in my knee and since taking them the swelling is definately going down.

I'm finding my thoughts and mind seem clearer after taking the turmeric for about 5 weeks.
