Life Saver!
My husband has been extremely ill, and came home from the hospital on so many meds and dispersed so many different times of the day I was overwhelmed. This has several circles that can be used for however many times a day you need to give meds. The only problem is (and it's not the fault of the container) is my husband is hard of hearing and cannot hear it even when it's right next to him. BUT, it blinks so he sees that, and it doesn't stop until you take the meds out. Also, one day I messed up on how I put the meds in and was just about to cry because I would have had to take all the meds out and re-do but discovered all I had to do was lift the holder and turn it one spot and wa-la problem solved, this feature alone is awesome.

A Great Pill Dispenser - a Lifesaver for Us
My husband has dementia and he cannot follow a schedule. I tried different ways to dispense his pills but there were always problems. I finally purchased this dispenser and we have not had any problems since. We have been using this dispenser for many months and it works every time. He cannot take pills before they are scheduled because he cannot access them. the dispenser gives audio and visual alerts that can be easily heard and seen when he needs to take his pills. The spots where the pills are held are big enough for all of his pills. Sometimes a pill gets caught so it does not come out when you turn it upside down, but you can easily get them out with something pointed.

Fantastic Product, Except for One Cheap Flaw
I love this pill dispenser. My mother started having cognitive issues about 6 months ago and began forgetting to consistently take her medications (or even double-dose a few times). So my brother and I started to call her daily, "Did you take your pills?" which drove her nuts. Not anymore--this device has solved this problem. I fill it up every 2 weeks, lock it and she's set. The device even thanks her when she gets her meds, which she has found amusing. The one flaw--the lock itself. It is dependable, so no spills, but it's design is not user-friendly. It's not so much a key you have but a proper-fitting wrench-like device that fits into the "lock." It's impossible to know if you've turned it enough to lock the lid, so you have to test the lid a few times to make sure the lock had turned properly. This is intimidating, as I'm always worried I didn't latch it (it's more of a latch than a lock) and that the pills will spill out. That's potentially dangerous, as my mom has a cat who might accidentally chew on a pill or my mother might get confused and try to pick up the pills and put them back.A few weeks ago, I had refilled her pills a day early and forgot to reset the pill rotation. Because of this, there's one rotation that's the "Start" and it has no pills, so she called me and it took half an hour to talk her through getting her pills out, mostly due to locking and unlocking the dispenser. Had it been a "real" key and lock, it would have taken 5 minutes. In the end, she taped down the lid as a "just in case" until I could inspect it that night. That's why this product is getting a 4 instead of a 5. Other than that, it's been wonderful and, even with the lock/latch, it's still worth getting. But if you are the manufacturer...you really need to fix this.

Life saver!!! Truly!
I bought this for my 88 year old aunt who was struggling with her medication. We tried the regular box type dispenser, not sufficient for the type of meds she was on. After several small dosing mishaps, we had an event that could have become very tragic. This was our last attempt before we had to take drastic measures for her immediate care. It saved her life! I know that it may sound dramatic but it is not! Just one week with her medication regimen being controlled by this fabulous product, we have peace of mind...and our aunt is back to her more normal self!! She lovingly refers to it as her life saver UFO!

If you don't want to overdose (or underdose) yourself or a loved one, keep looking
I got this for my 90 year old mother to help organize and remind her to take her meds. She lives with my brother is legally blind and cant help her with medications. After using the machine for a few weeks, and noting my mom's heart rate and blood pressure were fluctuating like crazy, I opened it up to look at the meds to make sure they were correct. I found that her pills were all mixed up in the different compartments. Some had 2 heart pills, some had none. Some had no Lasix and some had 2 or 3. Apparently, when you turn the unit up to dump the pills out of the little container some smaller pills slide over the dividers into another compartment. If you fill the entire month and turn it up twice a day, by the time you get a couple weeks out, your pills are completely mixed up. This is a serious issue and could kill someone if they rely on it's accuracy. The reminder feature works fine, but you CANNOT depend on it to dispense the correct medication, which makes this $100 piece of useless garbage. It should be taken off the market before someone dies

Alarm is a voice speaking, not an "alarm" or beeping sound
I like this unit for its ease of use as compared to some other round dispensers--opening and closing as well as the paper wheels are easier to understand. It's also battery powered, covers the dose compartment with a sliding door, locks and has very visible flashing lights around the unit. But what I dislike is that the "alarm" is a woman's voice with no option (it seems) for changing it to a beeping sound. Had to return because we need a unit of this type to beep and get the user's attention with a more traditional alarm style. Couldn't find any mention of this feature (the voice instead of beeping for the alarm) in the product description.
