If you don't have an angle grinder, or at least a Dremel, look elsewhere. This will take hours to cut with a hacksaw, and it will be UUUUUGLY. I made the mistake of trying a hacksaw, and after 15 minutes of huffing and puffing, I switched to the Dremel.In the end, I have an incredibly solid in-frame curtain rod for my patio door with zero sag, even without a center support.

This is an outstanding item! It is heavy like iron pipe, yet decorative. I am using it as a hanging rod over the washer/dryer combined with Amazon item "Box of 2 (Two) - Middle Mounting Bracket for 1-5/16" Round Closet Rod - Satin Nickel" mounted to the underside of cabinets. I also got some metal plugs (like used in a sink) for the ends. You can find these at a hardware or big box store. One suggestion - if you have to cut it to length, the best way is a plumbing type tubing cutter. I didn't have one large enough so I had to use a hacksaw. It can drift and mar the finish, so you can protect with layers of painters/duct tape.

This is a substantial closet rod, surprisingly heavy weight, and I expect it can handle a heavy load of hanging clothes. From previous reviews I worried about difficult-to-remove stickers, but the two stickers that were on the pole came off in one piece. The pole was packed in a cardboard box and arrived in excellent condition.

These are so nice! Heavy duty! I was able to hang over 100 shirts and about 10 coats on one rod and absolutely no bow in the rod!

Heavy duty indeed! Beautiful and absolutely will not bend. It's bright and beautiful in the closet. Now my hangars look like crap. Time to prime some hangars.

arrived dented, in line blemish , the biggest sticker I have ever had to remove off an item,took I/2 hour , fortunately the dent was at one end and I was able to cut it off for the length I need, not worth the hassle of returning. came as a pole inside a giant box no protection wrapping. will never order again

Nice, heavy duty product. Only two stars because there was no protective covering on the pole itself, and the product stickers were extremely difficult to remove. It took me over 45 minutes to remove the stickers from two poles (including use of Goo Gone Extreme). Both poles arrived scratched.

Item was exactly as advertised. I would recommend using a plumber's pipe cutter rather than hack saw. It is a lot less work and a much cleaner cut.

Strong and nice finishing. I used on my bedroom to hang a blackout curtain to cover my sliding door. It worked perfectly.
