Scrabble Nostalgia Edition Board Game in Collectible Tin Vintage Style Word Board Games for Ages 8+

This is a very nice product. I failed to notice that it doesn't come with a score pad or pencil... something much needed to play. I should have made sure when viewing the item before buying, so still giving 5 stars ...just when buying something in a "deluxe" collectible tin... one does expect that everything needed to play is included!

I was very disappointed when I realized that Scrabble is now producing cheap plastic trays and tiles. This Scrabble in a tin is just what I wanted. The board is sturdy and the trays and tiles are the wooden type that I remember using as a kid. The tin did come a bit dented in the corner, but it doesn't really bother me. However, you may want to keep that in mind if you are sending as a gift. I think the price is also very fair. Don't waste your money on the budget plastic Scrabble

I ordered four of these games for my high school seniors to play during enrichment. They love it!

I adore Scrabble and overall this set is fine, with one major exception. The wood tiles are nice and smooth, as are the holders. The canvas bag is simply sewn with rough edges and strings inside so we'll see how long it lasts, but for now it looks nice. The tin is fine, nothing special, just like a Christmas cookie tin. I'm docking a star because the plastic holder inside is so cheap and brittle. Mine came bent and broken with shards in the tin, but even if it hadn't been all busted up I would have thrown it away. Thus no reason to send it back, will be keeping and using this. Idea for you gamemakers: I'd love to see a wood box version someday instead of tin, with a good velvet-lined holder inside so everything has a place instead of bouncing around in the box. So many of us are obsessed with scrabble and with having more aesthetically pleasing things (from games to appliances), it would definitely sell. Thanks.

I remember playing this game when I was a kid. This one with the metal box is very easy to store versus a long cardboard box. Keeps you mind working well also if you play it often !

Love it. I specifically wanted Scrabble in a tin. It seems that these days, the boxes games come in do not last very long. I prefer to buy in a tin if the option is available. That way, I know, the container should last a very long time and none of the game pieces will get lost. I bought the game to play with my 10 year old granddaughter.

Love the idea of the game being in a tin with a full board that unfolds & the wooden letters. Bought this to play with my 91 year old mother who loved playing Scrabble with friends years ago. Hoping she can do well with it & can enjoy it. Highly recommend this well made product.

Love the ease-ability of its storage size or how little space it takes in your vacation-bound suitcase. Even better you can leave the tin box behind and put the tile holders in the tile bag (all from wood) and slip it into a carry on bag or pack-sac. However, I would like to see a thicker folding board for the out-of-the-box travellers. Otherwise this is great quality over all and does justice to the classic game "Scrabble"

I didn't realize when I ordered this that we would be locked down and that it would come in so handy for teaching spelling words and vocabulary to my 8 year old. Still a fun game after so many years. This box set is a little nicer quality than the cardboard ones and you can wipe the tin down. Avoids the whole crushed box corners with letters getting lost situation.

Did not like the cheap cut of the letters..I had expected the letters to be more like the original...not like they were fresh punched out of rough wood.

Love the old style board, brings back memories.
