Perfect for SW Shield! very Bright
If you are like me and felt the factory sights on the Shield lacked these are the sights for you. I own several pews and have replaced every factory sight to a high quality night sight or fiber optic. That was the case except for the Shield. I mostly left it alone because overall they weren't terrible. I didn't want to spend over $100 on sights just for a "small" upgrade. These TruGlo's are very well priced so I bit the "bullet" and bought them. As soon as I opened the package I was very pleased with the quality. High quality steel sights with a bright tritium tube surrounded by a white ring. The green tritium provide self illumination for low light environments, and the white rings provide the classic 3 dot sight you're used to in the day light. Removing the factory sights are a chore and would suggest it being done by an armorer (which I am). Installing these are easily done, and will leave no visible installation marks if the proper pusher tool is used. Using a punch will get it done but you risk breaking the glass tubes that hold the Tritium gasses. Nonetheless, these are great sights for a really good price. STRONGLY suggest these TruGlo's for your M&P handPews.

As bright as a firefly on a dark night
I installed these on my S&W Shield to replace the factory sights. Installation was simple and straightforward. I have installed quite a few sights and also have the sight installation tool which makes the job much easier. Economically, I am quite happy with the way they look and fit. You really cannot tell the difference between these sight on the original one that came with the Shield. I have included a photo of the sights. Not easy to align them in a pitched dark room with the left hand while holding the camera with your right. In any case, you get the picture. For the price and function. Do I recommend these, yesssss!

Nice and Bright
I bought these for a night shoot my local IDPA club was putting on. Fairly east to install with a good sight tool. They were nice and bright and I had no issue seeing them during the shoot. Worth the money!

works great
Not much more to say but on S&W plan on a bit of sandpaper or filing

good, brite sights...shoots low
this is a great set of tritium sights for less than $60. comes with the two sights but you will also need a small allen wrench to remove the rear sight. A thing to remember if you are going for a DIY project on an m&p: there is a small ring/plunger/spring that sits up underneath the rear sight (the sear safety?). taking this off is no issue (as is usually the case), but putting it back together is a bit trickier since the plunger needs to be down in its hole with the spring compressed under it, and the small steel ring has to sit centered on the spring and held in place by the sight above it. there is a tool available to keep this compressed as the sight is slid on, but if you dont have this part then the reassembly requires an amount of patience directly proportional to the size of your hands. be prepared to hold your tongue just right. knowledge of curse words in foreign languages can also help. anyways, I put these sights on my full size m&p 9mm and both front and back were very tight. I tried to adjust mine after the initial install to adjust point of aim, but I no longer had access to a sight tool. I used a brass punch. now I have a lovely brass accent on the left side of my rear sight. I would suggest avoiding a punch at all costs. both front and back are tight...and you risk breaking the tritium vial inside the sight, which would render then "unglowing". As for mine, after 2 or 3 range sessions of 100rds per outing neither has moved. the reason for the 4 stars is that point of impact vs point of aim has moved down by about 3-4 inches at about 10yds. fairly significant. accuracy is still ok as the setup still allows good, tight groups. I believe that the truglo front sight is taller than the stock blade.

Best sights I have found
The sites are truly amazing. I have tried many different night sites, from extremely pricey, down to budget friendly. I have found these are the best on the market. Although this review reflects my most recent purchase, I have owned these sites for many years, installed on different firearms. They have not lost a bit of light. I would highly recommend looking at true glow night sights. You will not be disappointed
