GOOVI Robot Vacuum, 1600PA Robotic Vacuum Cleaner with Wi-Fi, Super-Thin, Self-Charging Robot Vacuum Cleaner, Best for Pet Hairs Hard Floors & Medium-Pile Carpets

Hi Everyone!We bought 2 other brands of robot vacuums -- all at about the same price level. This one is by far the best! The battery life is exceptional, and the suction power is great, especially for picking up dog hair!; can't believe how well it does on our black rug picking up little white dog hairs! I can actually walk around barefoot on our wood floors afterwards and not worry about getting grit here and there on my feet! It really does a great, great job!The most important thing you need to know tho, regardless of what vacuum you end up buying, is that if you have a black or dark rug, then you will need to cover up the "cliff" sensors on the bottom of the vacuum (every vacuum has them; the black/dark rug indicates to the vacuum that is about to fall down stairs so it avoids it), and the vacuum acts like it can't crawl up onto the rug. Basically all you need to do is cover the sensors with white, little strips of paper (look this up on youtube for how to - easy!). For the Goovi, there are 3 sensors. If you don't cover up the sensors, then the vacuum will not transition from wood floor to the rug cuz it thinks it's about to fall down stairs. Once we put the little strips of paper over each sensor, Goovi climbed right up on our black rug -- no problem! We went through 2 other vacuums just to figure this out! Hats off to someone who wrote up something similar when reviewing one of their vacuums; had we not found that, we would have given up on robot vacuums all together. (Our family gave each other High 5's when we saw Goovi climb right up on the rug! - the little things in life!) The Goovi is superior tho to the other 2 robo vacuums we purchased (so a silver lining in going thru all this). Hope this write-up helps you make your decision.Also, to Goovi and the other brands of robot vacuums: Can your engineers add a "stairs" switch that the customer can turn on/off so that we don't have to our little engineering of white paper over your sensors? Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  While this vacuum did have great suction power and did work well when functioning, it didn’t function well and certainly didn’t work autonomously. It started getting bumper errors almost immediately. So much so that I figured there was a sensor problem/issue and immediately contacted amazon for a replacement. However, the replacement started out better, but quickly (within 24 hours) started having the same sensor error - would run for minutes before having an “error”. I gave it two days after contacting customer support for the item. They offered some fixes (nothing I hadn’t already tried) but nothing worked. Never heard back from them. The item was returned for a refund and I bought a different brand (Eufy 30c) and that one has worked for 3 days seamlessly - no issues at all. I do not recommend this product.

For the money this vacuum works well. Has three different auction levels and I run it on two. This does use the battery up a bit more and usually gets on average of 56 minutes of clean time each day. I have not used the remote as much as the app. I prefer the app as it seems easier to me. The discard tank seems to fill up with two days of use, which is still amazing to me since I was vacuuming weekly with and industrial vacuum. The only negative about it is the lack of efficiency on where it goes. It is basically a ping pong ball just bouncing all Over the place and hoping it gets everything. Sometimes it does sometimes not. The area I need to make sure to get daily I place the unit there and start it from there versus starting from the base and usually does better. It has gotten caught on a few things, uneven surface of a rug. This is only sometimes as it also has gone over this rug several times. Other smaller things which we now know to watch for. With small kids this has been very helpful and a time saver.

I really like the GOOVI vacuum. I really don’t like skimming through long reviews to get to the important bits so here we go:It was what I could afford, had more than a few good reviews and the profile (measurements) were perfect. I knew under the couch would be vacuum on the regular.I read the little book, downloaded the IFTTT app (I already used for other things, but I guess I needed the actual app) then I downloaded the GOOVIhome app which I didn’t like, so I downloaded the Smart Life app on my iPhone along with it. It’s just easier to use the Smart Life, for me, than the GOOVI app.Then I played with it for a few minutes (after putting it together (which too about 2 minutes). It kind of reminded me of this tiny hyper dog we used to have that jumped up all the time. It will roll over power cords. And if you have them jumbled under the corner table, no, not gonna work. GOOVI will vacuum around and around confused in the cords in the corner until you free it. So there is prep work involved.After that it’s good to go. Now I have an ifttt schedule set up to have it run at midnight. Comes with a cute little comb/brush and spare sweeper brushes.Best thing is you can have Alexa to tell GOOVI to vacuum. So it works with Alexa and Apple. And it sweeps the kitchen floor.I don’t know what the $500 units from other companies do, but this helps me out a lot. Housework is getting a little harder and a maid is too expensive.I would definitely recommend.

I highly recommend this guy! I’ve been hesitant for a few years about getting one because we have two indoor/outdoor cats (one of which likes to bring half of the outside in with her), a dog and two long haired humans that shed a lot! I was afraid it would be a giant waste of money. When I ran across this one, read the reviews and because of the price...I decided I’d give it a shot and I’m so glad I did!!!! Well worth the $$$!We have tufted carpet, cut pile carpet, a longer pile carpet, tile and laminate flooring and it does great on all surfaces. It runs for an hour and a half at a time. I can really tell it is cutting down the dust particles in the air as well.
