Incredibly Concise and Compact - But Light Print = Bring a Magnifying Glass!
While a book of this nature must have small print, the less than bold text combined with small characters creates a need to use powerful reading glasses or a magnifier - the type should be darker to help offset the size and increase the legibility of this wonderful book.

I love this SIDDUR
I love this SIDDUR!! It is extremely exhaustive! and includes almost anything you would need !!! Plus I was thrilled that the (POCKET SIZE) Art scroll Siddur was not a small book, it is actually closer to an Daf Yomi or Student size. And of course you will never be let down by the craftsmanship of Art scroll!!!! The price was Excellent!! I am a disabled American who lives on a finite income!!! So when I get a chance to upgrade my library at an affordable price I do everything I can!!! Thanks for helping me achieve this purchase at a VERY reasonable price!!

Great value
I love this siddur! The commentary on ethics of the fathers is worth the price. Explains the laws associated with each prayer and holiday. Really a great orthodox siddur.

Great siddur, but so many editions
Aside from the annoyance of having all transliterations in ashkenazic pronunciation ("shabbat" -> "shabbos," etc.), this is a spectacular siddur, full of information that can help those who don't know all the traditional laws and customs of Jewish prayer learn. I love the "laws" section in the back, and really appreciate the instructions throughout on when to stand, bow, etc. If it had a little more commentary, it could almost replace my rabbi! My understanding is that the sephard versions still have the ashkenaz-style transliteration, but are organized a little differently to fit sephardic services better. But be careful when ordering, because there are a lot of editions, and amazon doesn't always describe them accurately. Probably the best for everyday use is the pocket-size hard cover, because it's small but durable. But here are the ISBNs of the various editions of the Complete Artscroll Siddur:0-89906-650-X = full-size hardcover ashkenaz0-89906-654-2 = pocket-size hardcover ashkenaz0-89906-655-0 = pocket-size paperback ashkenaz0-89906-657-7 = full-size hardcover sephard0-89906-658-5 = pocket-size hardcover sephard0-89906-659-3 = pocket-size paperback sephardNote also that Amazon doesn't always send out the correct version. I ordered a pocket-size paperback ashkenaz edition, for example, and received the full-size hardcover ashkenaz. But amazon will take it back and replace it for free if they make a mistake, which is one more reason I keep buying stuff here.

thorough and pleasing
The type is clear and thorough, the organization fantastic.Artscroll does consistently good work (minus the whole mistranslation of the Song of Songs in their Tanakh). Easy to find the prayers you are looking for, good explanations about those prayers, and the printing is fantastic. This Siddur is a bargain for the price. (Yes, I do drink the artscroll cool-aid).There is also a sephardi version of this book that is excellent. Some of the prayers are slightly different (for example periods instead of commas in the brachot shel shabbat), but both are fantastic.

A SIDDUR FOR EVERYONE
This siddur is the book we wake up with, to pray at home and at shul. Most of the modern orthodox congregations use Artcroll as the chumash, siddur, and mahzor in their shul. Sometimes reading the notation is so fascinating, indicating that tzadikim are involved throughout the editorial process. Most useful is the indications on when to bow, stand, repeat. This is prayer, flowing naturally and guiding you even if you are a beginner. If this siddur is to be gifted to geir or non-observant, guidance should be offered. This is however the style and viewpoint of the haredim, with their belief of superiority to other congregations. For the conservative, egalitarian, liberal or reform movements, this book will grate at your belief systems. Since I am modern orthodox, I ignore some of the insensitive and stale views expressed in this siddur. When reading a textbook, expect bias and intolerance. I have friendly relations with other styles of orthodoxy, but prefer chabad for their openess to other people. The binding survives heavy usage because of the quality. Naturally, Amazon is the best price on the internet.

Siddur Nusach Sefaradi
I think this Siddur is great for people who is starting on this huge world that is davening. The only problem is the letters are too small, so difficult to read for those who are not used to read Hebrew, and it is a little bit confusing when gets to the point where you need a minyan or not. But translation is very good and very good complements.
