SHARP Activated Carbon and True Replacement Hepa Filter, Black

The air cleaner unit works very well and is exceptionally quiet. The filter combo back does the job and lasts about 90 days before needing to be replace. BUT it's price is out of line for similar combo packs used by other air cleaner manufacturers. Unfortunately, they have a lock on it and, unless I trash the unit, I have to keep paying the price.

This air filter was used in my Sharp air purifier. This product was hard to fine but Amazon made it simple.

The cost of these filters should be reason enough to never buy a Sharp HEPA air filter machine. I finally junked two of mine because I could buy totally new machines for the cost of a new filter.

Using the actual Sharp products is obviously the best and they work quite well. HOWEVER, as others have mentioned there are numerous other HEPA filter systems on the market in this price point and they're actually selling the unit with it. If you want to stick with the old FP-P30U, there are other 9 x 15 x 1 filters on the market for a fraction of the price & you can buy a cut to fit carbon filter for pretty cheap, you may have to fabricate a little 1/4" side gasket for the main filter, but it'll work. The rubber tape used for thresholds should work like a charm. They may not be true HEPA (down to .3 microns), but they do offer filtration down to .5 microns & for a $70 difference each, I'm ok with inhaling the few particles from .5 >.2 microns.

Fit my sharp air cleaner perfectly, also it's the original sharp product, so no issues. Great price versus buying from a retail location. Will purchase again in a couple of years when a new one is needed.

While the filter and carbon filter provided are OEM and fit I still question the overall cost of producing these. IMO they are overpriced but with free delivery Amazon was the best value I could find.

The filters work and fit my Sharp KC-830U. It is the only filter set that seems to be a 100% fit for this model. Like everyone else the only issues with it is the price point.

The product is fine but just the price alone drops it to a 1 star product. The air purifier can be found for cheaper than the filters, there's a problem. There's an obvious robbery. Should be time for sharp to drop the prices. I junk it on the next filter change.
