This belt works great to get that last few passes for a sharp, shiny finish. This takes your knife past the 6000 grit finish the worksharp comes with. Just remember to use light pressure. This belt is leather but is still susceptible to breaking just like the worksharp belts. Light pressure easily hones that knife edge.Also to address a concern in one of the older reviews; the compound is supposed to be hard in the tube. It will apply to the belt just fine with the friction of a moving belt.

Went on my works sharp very easy. I like to keep my knives sharp. Open a few boxes and they are not razor sharp any more. Less than a minute using this strop and they cut paper like a hot knife through butter. I am not talking slicing. I mean straight push through like a razor blade. Happy.

The stropping belt is great but the polish that came with it is as hard as rock and unusable. No instructions. Am using Brasso polish with great results, unbelievably sharp edges using a work sharp basic.

Was a bit of a pain getting it secured on the work sharp, as the leather is too thick. Got 4 swipes in on the first knife I tried, and it exploded in my face. Would have rather reached out to the seller, but it looks like that option is no longer available. (Probably because this happens all the time).

Surprisingly effective on the knives that I use - Good for quick touch-ups between sharpening. I think I get longer life between sharpenings

Like: looks like it would work, well made. Dislike: trouble putting on sharpener. Regret buying.
