30 inch Reusable Extend Securing Strap - Fastening Cable Strap - 16 PACK Adjustable Nylon Hook and Loop Cable Tie Down Strap

I bought these to replace some velcro straps on my RhodeGear bicycle rack. It uses straps to secure the bike frame to the rack's holders. The ones that came on the rack are now old, and they were breaking when I would strap the bike down. I measured the old ones and bought these in the same size.First, these straps are thinner than the ones on my rack. So I don't know about durability over time. I've been using these a few weeks, and they have held my bike and my wife's just fine. My bike has a tendency to shift during the drive, and when I get where I'm going the rear of the bike has moved but the strap has not broken like the old ones had started doing. But the thinness is a concern long term.Second, the "loop" velcro is not as long as my old straps. So when I put the velcro over the frame and try to stick it, it almost doesn't attach to itself. It works OK on my bike because the top tube is fairly big. But my wife's bike uses a special holder that attaches to the stem and seat post so that it will slide onto the rack. The bar is very thin, so I have to leave these velcro straps a little loose so that they will attach.I need to look into heavier duty straps but these seem to work for now.

I was looking for some safety straps for our awning on the motor home while traveling and these worked perfectly.

Very strong and durable. I needed these to secure a beach umbrella so it would not fly away. I tried cable ties in the past but it would not work. I found these and decided to at least try, and I am so glad that I did because they worked out very well. My beach umbrella is secure so I can now go out on my balcony and enjoy it.

I am using these straps to hold a heavy (around 13 lbs) battery to my electric bike. For this task I use 3 straps and they work, but required re-tightening after a day because they stretched a small amount. Most of the straps worked fine, but when putting on the third strap, the thermal weld holding the head onto the strap broke. On the other two, the the thermal weld seems to be holding up fine.If using the straps for high-load or critical applications, I would suggest cutting the thermal welded portion off and stitching them securely together using plenty of heavy-duty thread and possibly glue or silicone for neatness and additional reinforcement.A downside of these types of straps in general is that securing loads between 18 and 19 inches in circumference is difficult. One strap is barely too short, and two straps are barely too long.

The first strap I pulled out of the package was only 23-1/2 inches long, including the metal ring. Still, I don't expect to use these in any way that the 1/2 inch will make any difference to me. Just from trying the strap at different lengths, I found that these would have a working length up to about 20-1/2 inches and would wrap around a bundle up to nearly 7 inches in diameter. The smallest working diameter with only doubling the strap would be about 3-1/2 inches or so. To go smaller, the strap could wrap around on an angle and then come back with the last wrap to connect the hooks to the material at the metal ring end.The hooks end is about 3 inches long, so once the strap is fastened, it won't be coming apart until you want it to.

It is a simple black strap. It is not strong, so do not plan on linking heavy objects, you may have surprises. The good side is since you get 20 in a pack, you can change it if it becomes worn out.

I ordered these - and my expectations were low. However, the packaging of the 16 straps was very professionally done.I plan to use these on a sailboat, in a harsh marine environment, subject to intense UV conditions - to secure a tarp cover over the deck - during hot summer months - as well as during heavy winter and spring rain showers.Being able to quickly install, adjust, remove - will be worth this price - even if I have to replace them periodically.

I ordered 36" straps, thinking they would handle ALL bundles up to about 32" circumference. Well… that's not quite the way it works. I didn't understand the mechanics of a velcro CINCH type strap … they have both a maximum and a MINIMUM working circumference. For the 36" strap, the maximum bundle size is about 10" diameter. But the MINIMUM bundle size is about 5.7" diameter. And you cannot shorten them by cutting off some of the end. The only way to shorten a cinch type velcro strap is to cut off the metal cinch buckle and sew it on again shorter.The straps themselves are very well made and very sturdy. But if you need them for smaller bundles, then buy a length that is maybe only a little longer (4" ?) than the bundle circumference.

The straps themselves are great. They are just the wrong size for what I was needing. Just beware that you can't tighten them up completely because the velcro runs out. So if you are needing to secure anything smaller than say a coke can.... Get a smaller size. But for what they are, they are great. Good quality, strong too. I'll figure out something to use them for!

Purchased to hold my sons hover board go kart attachment on the hoverboard. The straps that came with his attachment broke within weeks. These work better than the original and are lasting a lot longer

I used one of these straps on my CPAP machine to keep the door for the water tray closed, They are working great, exactly what I needed.

The clips on the fire extinguisher holder in our RV snapped off. We were able to macgyver it back on with these straps. Still have some left over, we'll find a use for them eventually.
