HaywardSPX1550WA1 3 Wire 3-Feet Long Cord Set with Twist-lock Cord Replacement for Hayward and Filters

Electrical code in NJ requires pool pumps to have a twist-lock plug and Hayward pumps come with a standard 3-prong plug. This cord is the OEM replacement cord to make a Hayward Power-Flo LX pump have a twist-lock plug. The cord change out was quick and easy. The wire on this cord is a higher gauge than the stock cord and this increased thickness makes it a snug fit where it enters the pump. Also note, the twist plug is large and requires an XL in use weatherproof outlet cover.

Though I put in the proper information for our pool pump, this was not the exact one but we made it work and so far it is working great.

Only reason for this was new codes for the pool. Wish they aloud 6 foot cord but they don't. Other wise it works.But it cost too much for a simple cord. I could see it for $5.00 not 35.00 plus shipping and tax so 40.00 plus dollars. Wish I could have just added the end to my cord.

I bought this as my pool came with a standard plug and I needed a twist lock per building code. The ends did not fit on the pump terminals. Not a problem though. Just crimped some new stakeons on it. It works well. Much cheaper than ordering a factory plug from the manufacturer.

Works fine but the clips at the end of the wire are on a 90 angle making it impossible to thread the wire through the threaded knobs without first removing them. Not s huge issue. But I minor pain.

I was disappointed to find that the Hayward SP15932S Power-Flo Matrix pump that I bought only came with a standard, three prong plug. Local building code here in Massachusetts requires a twist-lock cord. The solution was to order this replacement cord. It was very easy to install - it took about 15 minutes to remove the three prong cord and install this one. Problem solved.

Nuts. I need a 6 foot cord for my pool pump and apparently you aren't allowed to buy one in the Nanny States of America. Golly, you could shock yourself and that just won't do. Going to an electrical supply store and purchasing the parts to make one myself, building codes be dammed.
