Meprolight Kimber Tru-Dot Night Sight for Slant Custom, Compact and Ultra - Fixed Set with Green Rear and Front Sight

I bought these for my Kimber Ultra Carry. A local gunsmith only charged me $20 to install them and laser the bore. These are brighter that I was expecting and hope to get many years of service out of them. Optics Planet took an extra week or two to ship them, but I was more than willing to wait because the price was right.

Very happy! Finally got my hands on the sights that should be on all Kimbers 45 s , These sights are perfect fit and after talking to Kimber on the phone and countless emails to people that wouldn't even respond to people that live in CA I got a response! The gentleman that is the owner of this company got back to me and the order was placed and shipping was fast! These sights will replace the stock black sights that came with gun. Personally I feel that these sights should have came with the gun but I am very happy to have found them for this price! Don't get me wrong my custom 2 is great however these sights will allow you to line up your shot faster in the daylight and most importantly at night as they glow in the dark. These are great sights. However, do not be mislead as too the suggested ease of installation for these sights. Unless you have a press and know what you are doing, your gun may well be scared up when punches are used to remove and replace the sights. Be smart and send the pistol to a well equipped gunsmith or better send to Kimber. I sent mine in to Kimber and got it back within two weeks. The job was perfect.

this sight system seems to work really well for me. They seem to be made well and look cool too. In the day time they are pretty much white not green at all but they work way better than the original all black sights. Me being an amateur they were worth every penny.

Front sight's fit was to tight if a fit. I had to use a brass punch and brass hammer and hit it way to hard to make it fit but it finally went into position. The rear sight fit properly though.

I had these installed on my Magnum Research Desert Eagle 1911G by my gunsmith. I don't recommend doing this yourself. My original front site was pinned. These did not come with a pin mounting hole. They fit, look and work great.
