Shatters all the time straight from unwrapping
I didn't have a very good experience with this PLA. It arrived with no issues and packaging was good. The product itself seemed ok until I came to use it. It was basically unusable. It shatters when feeding into the filament sensor, it shatters when passing along the Bowden tube, shatters when trying to remove it and worse - just shatters when its sat there doing nothing.I don't know whether this was a bad batch as I've had contact with others reporting the exact same problem with this colour. I can vouch that Geeetech Marble PLA works great, so perhaps this was the case.I unfortunately had to return mine as not fit for purpose. If you found this review useful, please click below.

Great PLA. Great Prints Thank you.
Weight upon delivery: 1.1kg total (spool and filament)My tests were carried out on an Original Prusa i3 MK2, slicing using S3D.During Print Impressions:First print was a 3DBenchy. Settings used were 207C Nozzle 60C Bed. The first layer adhered well to the PEI bed, no glue's needed (your mileage may vary depending on the print surface). At 60mm/s speed there were no major problems with adhesion.A larger 'Vase' was also printed with no support for the large overhangs. The PLA performed well with these. There are very few surface blemishes.Post Print Impressions:The colour is White and appears to be consistent throughout the roll. Until I use up the whole thing I won't be able to confirm that, however. After removing the Benchy from the bed, I was rather taken by how well it came out the first time. The print settings were clearly just right and there was no stringing visible at all. I was impressed as this is the first print without any post-processing needed to make it look presentable.Overall I would say this is a very good filament for those beginning to 3D print. The only changes I had to make to my print profiles were the temperature and speed of the first layer to promote adhesion. It just worked, and prints come out as good as some much more expensive PLAs.

Quality filament
3D printer filament is a bit of a minefield with wide price variations and some truely awful filament around, especially at lower prices. Geeetech filament is a low-mid priced filament, but is well worth the money. The wood filament is slightly different to normal as it contains very fine wood particles. This means that during printing you get a very nice woody smell which fills the room. There is also some subtle colour differences as it prints as different wood particles 'burn' a different colour. In use the filament printed well but on the smaller more intricate sections I did get a couple of places were there was a bit of under extrusion in the wall. On larger sections this never happened and I suspect it may be due to weeping filament as the head moves between sections. It may also be possible to reduce this with further tweaking of retraction settings. It would be a 5 star review if it wasn't for the claimed 5c temperature change will change the colour claim. I tried from 190-210c and other than the slight variation of colour I mentioned above, there was no noticeable colour change that I could attribute to the temperature changing. This is something other reviewers have also mentioned, but I still never got the full beige print they mentioned.Overall I am impressed with the wood filament (and other Geeetech filaments in general) and would recommend them over all others as their price to performance/quality is very good indeed.

Brilliant white with good consistency!
Having used up almost all my remaining white PLA making my spool older and having an urgent Pokemon print to do for a friends birthday I stayed away from that auction site to get guaranteed next day delivery and found this Geeetech white.Amazon shipped this box in a white bubble bag which is not sufficient protection, you can see in my images where part of the spool has bust through the edge of its box and one side has snapped off. Had to get this print done so there wasn't time to try and get a replacement from Amazon, I just tapped through the middle of the spool and it has been holding.TOP TIP! order multiple rolls so they are sent in a box like my last two rolls, this is the reason I'll give the wife when a huge box of filament arrives, safety in numbers.Back to the filament, it's a really nice solid white, much brighter than the last whit either order which now seams more of a natural colour. Diameter came out at 1.72 which is within the specified tolerance and I was able to bend it at a right angle without it snapping.I didn't print a temperature tower, I just got on with the print at 185C and it came out fine. For the price this is a great low cost everyday filament and I'll be trying other Geeetech filaments once this one is done, which probably won't be long as I've not taken it off since the day it arrived, even made my part cooling blower with it.
