Aeromax Jr. Astronaut Suit with Cap

I ordered this Aeromax astronaut gear (Size 4-6 in white) for my 4 year old grandson, and am absolutely stunned at the workmanship, quality, design and detail put into this outfit. I really can't call it a costume because this is tailor quality. All of the seams and knit cuffs are top-sitichedand finished, the zippers (lots of them) are heavy plastic, the patches which look like something from the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum are carefully stitched. The fabric is a rather thin polyester and there is no warmth to this outfit, so it's necessary to wear clothes underneath, which do show through as the fabric is thin. There is a puff vinyl trim stitched around the neck, and though we have not yet washed the costume, I'm hoping the vinyl will hold up in the laundry...though definitely won't try the dryer. Although he has not yet worn it, the included baseball cap is equally well made, and even has bound eyelet holes for circulation...really! My grandson already had his costume for Halloween when I ordered this in September, so I kept it for Christmas. It was the first gift he opened and he could hardly wait to put it on, and keep on throughout the day and night. I may buy the next size up for next Halloween and his 2 year old brother will be able to wear this...it does run a bit small. I really like the finished look of the black boots in the ad picture, and we will get some of those for trick or treating, because the boot covers (sold separately) which are supposed to look like astronuat boots really aren't necessary and are cumbersome. Not expensive, but not the impact of the fabulous astronuat suit. My grandson LOVES the helmet which is sold separately, and he likes hearing the Mission Control instructions from the built-in battery operated speaker. May be a little dangerous for trick or treating because of the lack of peripheral vision, and very large size of the helmet, but the helmet really adds to to the look.

Fits true to size and it is so cute on! He got so many compliments. Large enough to layer underneath to be more comfortable in colder weather. Buttons snap up for easy diaper changes.

This is a very nice astronaut costume. I got this for my almost 8 year old son; we're having a space themed 2nd grade graduation party, but he got to wear it not too long ago to school for Career Day. I bought another costume from a different vendor and I did not like that one at all; this one is very well made and great looking.

I had to buy my oldest daughter an astronaut costume for a school play that her gifted department was performing for the parents. Of course I complete forgot about it until her teacher sent me a text message reminding me about it two days before the performance. In a mad rush, I started searching online and came across this one. I paid the few extra dollars for overnight shipping and was very nervous the next day when bad weather moved through this region and I received a message from Amazon stating that my order would be delayed. Luckily, the box was on next to my front door when I arrived home that night. The costume fits her perfectly and she absolutely loves it. She will be 9 years old soon, is 44" tall, and weighs between 60-65 pounds. I ordered the 8-10 size and it fits just as it should, but it would definitely still fit someone who was bigger around than she is since there was extra room inside of the costume. I preferred the slightly looser fit since she had to wear a school uniform under it and doesn't like things to be very fitted. I was very impressed with the quality of the material and my husband loves the attention to detail in the design. It was also a big plus that this is one of the most affordable ones I found online.

My son (age 6) loves space and talks about being an astronaut. With Halloween coming up we thought it would be a treat and inspire a new round of creative play (he reads about space, talks about space, watches videos on space, and uses Planet Heroes action figures and other space related toys to have pretend space adventures). We have always made his costumes, but he was so into space that we thought we'd "treat" him to something beyond what we could make. The product came, it fit perfectly with some room to grow (although he was a 6/7 and this is an 8/10), and was of good quality. I really appreciated the authentic patches and professional look of it. Traditionally thrifty with such purchases, I was satisfied. It was worth the price in terms of quality, and buying a plain jumpsuit and buying even one NASA patch and American flag would have been a hassle and about the same price. So, it's a good product. For whatever reason, our child does not use it. He likes it, wore it for Halloween, but he seems to respond more with a feeling that it should be cool but not with true affection. Rarely does he try it on. Perhaps we should have gotten the helmet, as the baseball cap is uninspiring. Perhaps it is TOO realistic (if I could do it again, I would have bought orange instead of white) and thus does not inspire like a cliche silver suit might. So, if your child likes realistic costume play (firemen costumes come to mind), great. My child was not inspired; it could mean many things that are not the company's fault, but know your child before putting in an order.

My 7 year old has been obsessed with outer space since the premier of a space themed show on PBS and has been steadily accumulating space related merchandise so of course when Halloween came around he HAD to be an astronaut. I was a little apprehensive about the price for this particular costume since Halloween costumes aren't usually of the best quality, but the kiddo wanted it so I bit the bullet and bought it. I was shocked when I got this in the mail though! The quality is AMAZING and he has been wearing it for dress up play almost everyday. The suit is a sturdy windbreaker type material, the color is vibrant and the patches are good quality and look authentic. My kiddo was particularly thrilled to see that it came with a "real" hat as Halloween costumes typically come with cheap, flimsy hats and this came with a real sturdy NASA hat. I got him the 6-8 size as he is slim and typically wears a size 6/7 pants. It fits him perfectly, but you may want to size up if your child is on the taller side. I was a little concern initially about the fact that its a one piece jumpsuit and that giving him issues in the school bathroom on Halloween, but he was just fine and the zipper is easy for little hands to manipulate. I'm so glad I bought this costume. I highly recommend it for any space loving kiddos!
