Skin Grip Adhesive Patches Compatible with Dexcom G6, Firm Hold, 20 Pack

My title says it all. My 12 yr old son was diagnosed with T1D in November and this is our first summer with hardware. Winter was a breeze, no issues at all. Then came the summer heat with a sweaty prepubescent boy and a hope of keeping the Dex and Omni attached. It had been a battle keeping the Dex attached for ANY amount of time, let alone ten days(!), before we found this patch. We tried the Dexcom patches and various other clear and fabric patches. (We had to use no less than 8 over patches that wouldn’t stay attached and kept peeling off or would bubble up on the last one before we tried these!). If we managed to keep it attached he would have horrible sweat rashes under that were painful and took days and salve to heal. I was fearful we would have to give up CGM it was so bad. To top it all off he is on swim team and is in the water for an hour daily. Talk about the stuff nightmares are made of. THEN WE FOUND THIS PATCH. It’s breathable (as advertised), stays adhered the full ten days, and looks good. If you’re active and need a good over patch, look no further. This patch is great and worth every penny.

I used one of these from the second I installed a new meter. After daily showers, working out several times, and even sitting in a hot tub the skin grip stayed on like a champ. It frayed a bit on the sides as you can see in the photo, but it remained stuck on my dexcom and didn’t roll at the edges like some of the competitors “water proof” patches. Only downside is when I removed the patch (to change my dexcom) it did rip the entire unit off with it so be prepared to keep it on the entire 10 day limit.

I've been using this patch for almost four months now, and this kept my Dexcom sensor adhered without the need for additional applications all but one time. I do have to trim the edges as time goes on, but it always holds the core apparatus on really well. It does leave a sticky residue behind that you will have to scrub at to remove, but I like to see this as a sign that the product stays attached just that well!

I used to use tegaderm and cut a hole to place the tegaderm right over the Dexcom. This patch is already cut out for the Dexcom which is awesome. The only negative is it is not as adhesive and the patch is sort of a fabric that frays at the ends about 5 days in.

Title states it all. Being a diabetic who relays on CGM that are very costly it was aggravating when the adhesive that the CGM manufacturers use did not last the full cycle. These do a great job at securing the devices to my skin. No concerns about swimming, bathing, working outdoors,, or even when you accidentally bump into a door frame they hold my device in place.

Although the patch peels at its outer edges before 10 days is up, the grip holds over the Dexcom and frayed portion can be trimmed (very carefully) to maintain that core shape and adhesion. Best applied by someone else if Dexcom is worn on your arm, this patch hold its grip better than the Dexcom, over patch and other competitors I have tried.

these are pretty small, made of the same stuff like the streachy bandaids. Cool colors. Very pricy for what they are. I feel like they are specialized for us diabetics so the automatically tack on a few extra bucks. They have worked well though!

When the expensive, medical doohickey you got attached, starts to dethatch prematurely, this will keep it attached a bit longer. I use this one, the "Dexcom G6," for the Dexcom G6 CGM. I also use the "Universal" one for Tandem t:slim X2 Insulin Pump's AutoSoft XC infusion sets.. I don't always use them, but sweat and showering can make them start to come off and I don't like having to replace them a second sooner than I have to.
