Sounds transmission is great, but connectivity and latency issues....
Connectivity: Out of the box, you would think to follow the instructions to pair (turn on, press the 2 arrows button twice to pair and it should pair). But wasted 30 min trying this and it wasn't pairing. Then i read in the manual that it tries to pair to the "last paired device" when you turn it on. To reset, hold the 2 arrows for 8-10 seconds until all lights flash which erases the previous device. This did the trick (which obviously then meant that I got a previously returned and not a new device. Then, even I had the speaker i was trying to connect right next to this device, it connected to a different bluetooth speaker in an entirely different bedroom far away. I didn't realize that as I kept thinking it is connecting to the speaker i have nearby and there was no sound coming out. I realized only when wife said there is sound coming from the other speaker in the other room. So I went around the house unplugging every device that had bluetooth (I still though can't figure out why it would connect to other bluetooth devices when those devices weren't in pairing mode). Finally it connected to the speaker I intended after an hour of trying. Emails to seller only got back the same steps that were in the manual, so that's why i'm providing you these details so you can make sure to check on other speakers/devices in your house and do a reset of device out of the box since it might have been a returned product. I wish there was an easier way to connect to the desired bluetooth device then "guesswork".Latency: Turned on a movie to watch. Sound quality was great and I didn't feel my speakers sounded worse from using this device. But, soon, my hollywood movie became a dubbed chinese movie where I could see the lips move but the sound about 1-2 seconds behind. This device is supposed to be low latency with aptX but I do not know whether it was using it or not because the device doesn't give me any control to select a mode nor does the manual mention anything. Ended up going to hard-wired solution between my tV and speaker.

Excellent sound quality
Recently learned about the Bluetooth 5 standard improvements and wanted toTry it out. This unit can act as transmitter or receiver. There is a side button to choose. It also has 3.5 mini and fiber optic out. Package includes usb cable for charging, 3.5 mini to 3.5 mini, 3.5 mini to RCA, and fiber optic cable. Mine arrived with no charge but fully charged in about 90 minutes. I hooked it up both analog (3.5 to RCA) and the. Fiber optic to a mini 2 channel system I have with monitor speakers. I choose a FLAC file streamed from my IPhone X which also supports Bluetooth 5.Sound quality was excellent utilizing the analog out. Next I switched to fiber optic and again excellent sound but I also immediately noticed the output was significantly louder. I am not sure if this is do to the unit being able to bypass DAC but whatever the reason it is definitely louder via fiber out. In both cases I found the sound quality very pleasing. If I had to note one thing that may be a problem for some people is the unit has several lights on it. This could be an issue if being used in a bedroom. Of course it’s small enough to block the light from it but perhaps a lights off mode would be useful. I also walked about 50 feet from the unit with my phone and did not have any signal drop out.

Elegiant: the relationship saver
My ex-husband likes to watch the news...ALL the time...LOUD. I hate listening to the news because it gives me panic attacks. His music is good but it's also too loud. He has wireless headphones but no Bluetooth TV to pair them with. Finally I needed a solution and found it here. The Elegiant Bluetooth Transmitter arrived beautifully packaged. It's much smaller than I expected, but wow! It is loaded with features, comes with three different cords to attach to your device, whatever it may be, and it can handle two headsets. It even answers the phone if you like. I was intimidated by it at first, but hooking it up was easy as 1-2-3. I had it charged, paired with the headphones and ready to surprise my ex. He LOVES it! We attached it to a Samsung TV (smart, but no Bluetooth) via its headphone jack. Once turned on, the little transmitter displays beautiful blue lights, but they are unobtrusive. Now my ex is no longer confined to one area, but can listen to his favorite news shows while doing chores, eating, or writing. The best part: I don't hear a thing! Sweet silence for me, plenty of noise for him. We've been together for over 30 years, married and unmarried, but I recommend it to save any relationship like mine, where one person likes loud media and the other doesn't, and you live in a small space. The Elegiant is truly wonderful! Buy it for the news junkie in your life!

Headlining headphone device for sharing sound.
In the context of connecting two bluetooth devices to one optical output from an LG TV, used in ApTx mode no syncing issues at all. Sound quality is excellent. The only problem we had, was with the Bose Quiet Comfort's we have, they don't support that codec. However, my cheaper Sony's were perfect with ApTx low latency working well. SBC and AAC are supported, but they lose sync video. Slight update. SBC doesn't cause latency issues with my TV.I'm re-watching Hamilton on Disney+ as the vocals are so much clearer. It's fabulous in Dolby Vision to look at too.I have today ordered a second unit to use in reverse as a receiver for the Bose headphones, after trying them with other wired headphones. In a 'bonus moment', there's currently a £5 discount available. (31st July 2020).I was considering buying a second pair of ApTx compatible headphones, but, doing it this way, means we can use better quality headphones we already have access to.In box, all the cable you need are there, including optical. They are short.I was prompted to look at this because a friend wanted to do something similar with his home set up. I looked to do it a bit cheaper. That aim has been met. You'll need good vision to read the manual.Tips. To change codec. Press and hold middle button on front of unit for three seconds. When you have paired both headphones successfully, the lights at the bottom are a steady green. When the blue lights are static, one pair is paired. You may find the order in which you pair important to prevent dropouts. You may have to select PCM mode on your output device if the option is there. It was a sub menu of the LG's output.Perfect to share a movie with a friend without disturbing the neighbours. And you can set your headphone level individually to stop those 'disagreements' over sound levels. When using the receiver function with wired headphones in connection with a similar unit for transmission. I personally found the sound a little lower than I like, even when raising the volume to maximum. However, there was no distortion and headphones of course have different sensitivity levels. At my age and due to the nature of my work over the years my ears aren't as sensitive as they used to be.A small outlay for great sound, if you have the quality headphones to 'pair' them with.I hope you find this review helpful.Thank-you for reading.

Impressive
OK, I only got this this morning so perhaps a bit early for an in-depth review, and I've only used it as a receiver but I'm impressed and probably about to buy a second one (just need to check how it works with a second phone)Very easy set-up - you do need to read the small manual on how to get it into pairing mode, as the default mode is to attach to an existing paired device, simply switch it into receive mode and then hold down one of the buttons until the display lights flash blue/green. Pairing with my phone was fast and effortless. Once paired I played Spotify on my phone and, lo, it was on my newly bluetooth enabled hifi amp. Sound quality sounds great, not artefacts, stutters or glitches, just a very good clean hifi stream - impressive.In-bound phone call so pause Spotify for 20 mins - start it back up again and music continues, same volume, same quality as if I'd just paused a CD or something - impressive.Switch it off and go out, return home, switch on (remember, it defaults into connect to exist device), play Spotify on the phone and immediately hear it on the amp. But volume is low, I'd probably turned the phone volume down when I was out.Niggles, none found so far, except - the output to my hifi amp can be analog 3.5mm jack (I need this for one of my amps) or SPDIF optical (preferable for my main amp in the other room). I'd hoped to use one device and switch between amps. However analog is always selected if plugged in, otherwise SPDIF. Easy, just unplug the analog cable when I want audio routed to the SPDIF amp but a little button switched would have been neater. Not played around with distance between phone and device (just 1-2m away in this room) nor switching between the various stream settings (the defaults seem excellent). Also note, this comes with all the cable you need (albeit very short ones) including a USB power cable but you will need a USB charger - any phone one that takes a USB cable ought do. This is important for me as I intend to leave the device plugged in permanently to extend my hifi amps with bluetooth.Bottom line, this works so well with my little cheap class D amp in the dining room I think I'll grab another one for the main Hifi amp in the lounge.UPDATE: just connected a second phone, pause first phone that is currently playing and started streaming from second phone, yep works great. Pause second phone, restart first, yep that one's playing OK, switch and switch again, seamless.OK second order on it's way!

I should of got this year's ago.
So I have used this device to connect my Bluetooth headphones to my non Bluetooth TV. I am hard of hearing so I have to have the TV quite loud, this is annoying for my wife who always complains its too loud. And now the neighbours have complained too. So I needed something to help, this looked perfect. So my set up is a Sky Q box with the optical sound out going to my sound bar so my wife can watch TV as normal. And this device plugged into the TV connected to my headphones. That was the plan and I have to say it all works perfectly. My wife and neighbour are now very happy. Very simple to pair headphones, sound is ok(good enough for my ears). There is the slightest bit of lag with sound, but nothing to worry about. Good selection of cables to help connect which ever way you want. I have tried optical and 3.5mm jack. Both work well. Overall I'm very happy with this little device.
