E+M Sharpener for Clutch Pencils with 5.5 mm, Black (2881-20)

This little gem of a lead pointer doesn’t waste any lead and gives your 5.6 mm pencils the perfect point and empties out easily. I wish I would have bought one a few years ago. It’s great!

PLEASE NOTE: This sharpener is NOT for normal pencils, it is only intended for clutch pencils, specifically the ones that hold 5.5mm graphite.I purchased this in the hopes of getting a finer point with my Koh-I-Noor 5.5mm clutch pencil, but although it sharpens the graphite, it does not sharpen to a fine point, which is what I was looking for. I like the design of the sharpener, and it's a good alternative if I don't feel like fiddling with the sharpener included with the clutch pencil itself, but honestly, I get the same type of point.

So it is as described, but just smaller than I was expecting. I had this idea i could leave the pencil in it when not in use (as a pencil stand, pencil oriented vertically) it is definitely not made to do that. Also, lead must be shaken out after each use (if you don't and the cube rolls over lead shavings can spill out) it also feels a little small in my (average size, female) hands.

This is a very stylist large sharpener for drafting applications. If I ever need another one I most definitely will purchase this one again.

Looks slick, but it doesn't sharpen the tip of the lead. :(
