Rio Grande Games GIPF Series Game Classic Traditional Strategy Board Games

At first it seemed like we must be missing something. Like all GIPF Project games, it took playing it a couple of times before it clicked. I play with my 10 year old daughter who is very good at games like this. I have purchased all the games in the Project, but haven't played them all yet. Our favorite is Yinsh and Gipf would be next so far. All the games in the series are great for kids (over about 9 or 10) and adults alike.

So far I have played 4 games from this series. I've debating which game is my favorite and I am having problems trying to rank them. Is it possible to love all these games equally? So far that's where I stand. If you like abstract strategy games such as chess, pente, go, etc... then I think you'll like them a lot.

A fun game that is the first in a series of enjoyable two-player abstract strategies. I personally have enjoyed all of them. This one stands up pretty well.

Clever and simple are words that come to mind thinking about Gipf. Easy to teach and set up yet deep and tactical. Abstract games like Gipf are easy games to get people to play who don't normally play board games.

It is wonderful. I love it very much. It is hard to stop playing. I am so glad l bought it. It is just to much fun to stop. Keep making games like that and I will buy them. Fast.

Gipf is the the first of and master of the six games in the GIPF series. Every one of these games is brilliant, sharing depth and abstract thinking as their DNA. Gipf may be enhanced by incorporating the others into its play dynamics, though it works brilliantly on its own. Easy to learn rules, yet amazing, endless possibilities. A must, must-have!

I bought this game for my son in law, who has the other two from the series. He was delighted to receive this as a Christmas gift.
