Very realistic
Very realistic looking lion figure. It’s not exactly as good as the pictures image but it’s really close. There’s no flaws like uneven eyes or goopy looking paint around the find details. Might be the best quality lion figure I’ve ever seen.

This Lion is perfect as the Lion of Juda that has become part of my Bethlehem scene. My husband & I have designed & recreated the entire town of Bethlehem at our church. We used three 8 foot tables, buildings, mountains, streams, water falls, ponds & people of the times. We have the Lion & the Lamb on top of a cliff overlooking the town. Everyone loves the idea & the kids just stare in awe. This Lion is just the perfect. Thank You.

Mangled lion - devastated child
I bought a lion and a tiger: the tiger was in perfect condition but the lion is missing a back leg and that tail is mangled. This was a Christmas present, and it caused tears rather than joy! I tried to return it but for some unfathomable reason it cannot be returned!

IMO opinion this is the best lion at this scale and in this price range. A fantastic piece and perhaps it’s difficult to capture the essence of the lion since it seems so many manufacturers seem to get the lion wrong. Maybe it’s due to the mane, I don’t know what it is but it seems many companies make a solid to great lioness, but the lion, not so much. Suffice to say, this is the only one I truly like at the moment. With some repainting on my end, I might like the safari ltd XL lion as well.

Amazing sculpt, but not as pictured
This lion is a beautiful little model, and is exceptionally detailed down to his furry coat, tense paws, and the veins on his legs. He is a solid, heavy plastic with some “give” in his tail and legs. This lion is slightly smaller than the other Papo male lion, but only as though he were a slightly smaller or younger animal.However, I was disappointed that the paint detailing is nowhere near as realistic as the photo. I received a genuine Papo lion, and like other reviewers am mildly dissatisfied with the level of realism. However, as I bought him to go into a miniature scene, I don’t mind refinishing him so he looks more realistic.
