This pond pump is phenomenal. Usually I’ve got to continuously add various chemicals to keep my pond water clean and clear. Not anymore with this pump! You can adjust how you want the fountain to spray out. We clean it about once every two weeks. It’s very simple to take the filters out, rinse them clean and replace. If the filters do get pretty dirty then we’ve noticed the filter portion will begin to float to the top and knock the fountain over to it’s side. Again, a very easy fix, just give the filters a good rinsing and it’s good to go! Highly recommend this product.

Used this same model for about 7 years including winter months to keep my 125 gallons pond clean. Loved it, so when it died I ordered another one. I now have a 650 gallon pond and use a canister filter and pump system for the summer (to operate my waterfall) and this product for the winter! Works great! Love it!

Pond masters makes the best pumps for your money, plus a 5 year warranty, never had a pump that didn't last at least 10 years.

The pump isn't strong enough to continue pumping when the filters get clogged, so it has to be cleaned every two days. Also has a tendency to get air bound and float to the surface, even with rocks in the bottom of the filter tray. NOT recommended.Update to the above: The pump only lasted a year. I had to replace it recently because it was not able to pump water through the fountain head with enough pressure to create more than a trickle. Don't waste your money.

I would recommend this pump set to anyone with at least a 50 gallon pond. The pump has more than enough power to push the water up for our waterfall. The downside.. the set is very light and does tend to float. Therefore you must weight it down with a rock or something. Other than that, the pump is perfect for our needs.

I'm using this for my stock tank/goldfish pond. The only thing I would change....but I know it's not possible....is to make it not black. I appreciate that most people would have it in a koi pond so the black would work great. But mine sits on the bottom of the tank and is very noticeable. I do have floating plants over it so it's not soooo bad.

The filter floats and has to be weighed down. Don't waste your money.

The hose that connects the 2 pieces is not long enough, the fountain needs another section and the cotainer itself could have been a little bigger.
