Very versatile, great storage, water resistant! Good backpack for a 72hr pack.
I bought this for the ultimate test. Becoming a pack-mule for a 3 day trip to Disneyland. I'm former military and tend towards trying to impress the wife with feats of strength, such as carrying around water bottles, food and disposable stuff for each day of the visit.Up front: This backpack's one drawback is that the back does not have a ridged insert / frame. So if I took a knee and had my wife search through the bag, I had to make sure my back was perfectly straight or the bag would fold a bit and make it difficult for her to rummage around and find things.Other than that, I wore this for the majority of the hours for 3 days. The straps for the shoulders are wide enough that the weight of about 6-8 water bottles, beef jerky, and other junk food didn't bother me. On the third day I could feel a small hot spot in my back but my shoulders didn't have the problem.Because of the material used where it presses against your back, it moisture wicks the sweat and acts like a small swamp cooler. I found that because of the moisture wicking of the backpack and the cooling towels, and shemagh scarf that I was carrying, it helped to keep the moisture where it counted the most. That made sure that I didn't have the same amount of friction across my back with the frequent movement and taking the backpack off many times during the day.It was fairly water resistant and did great for the rides - but I did make the mistake of putting the cooling towels and scarf in the smaller compartment on the outside and it will moisture wick into the pack. It's not bad at all, but just plan the load-out accordingly just in case it's going to rain. A pack 'raincoat' would fix this easily. The belt buckle assembly did some sliding around the first day while it beat up the nylon a little bit and made it seat well. By the third day I could cinch down the buckle and it would stay put - it really helped alleviate weight on the shoulders. Just plan to use it for walks or something so it can get that little bit of wear and tear.A slight design improvement would be to make the part of the backpack that presses against your back a little more ridged and clear away an upside down T section in the moisture wicking material to assist with air flow through. Also possible to put a slightly thicker material that separated the kangaroo pouch on the outside from the main backpack compartments. That would easily make this backpack worth $15 more.If you're looking to upgrade your 72 hour backpack to something a little more realistic, this is a phenomenal buy and you will not regret the purchase.

Not heavy weight built, but good for the casual hiker or traveler.
I'm generally a user of quality packs like Jansport or Mountainsmith; I ordered this pack mostly because of its features and the floral leafy pattern. I needed a pack for a three-day high school competition; I'm a team mentor and do crafty things for the kids like costuming. Anyway, I needed something to pack a monopod, craft supplies, team giveaways, and my inflatable cushion to sit in the stands for a couple of days. This pack suited that need fairly well. Yeah, the zippers are small and, with the exception of the main pocket, only contained one zip fob. The main compartment has two so you can open and close it from either direction. The outer mesh pockets for drinks worked very well - I didn't lose any of my cups. There's a stuff pocket on the front where I put my jacket, and that has a stap to secure it. There are straps for the sides to hold hiking poles or a monopod, straps at the top and bottom for a rolled pad or bag, and side straps to cinch the entire bag down. A slightly padded waist strap with zipper pockets and a chest strap with whistle and padded back rounds off the features. I also like that there was a small pocket at the very top for my spare battery and cables, and another small pocket on the front panel for small items - all easy access.A four-star rating because it's a light duty bag; I would not take this bag on a multiday hike nor tote a full water bottle in this bag as illustrated by the seller. For the $24 I spent, it was satisfactory. I will have to see how this holds up over time as the material is not super heavy duty. I will also probably use this when we cruise for a day pack. This pack had plenty of room for all of my junk (ha-ha).

Great except for it can’t take much weight!
Design & functionality of this nifty pack is great. Enjoyed how the access of the compartments was good. The bottle pockets handled our 32oz flask with secure zigzag straps. Unfortunately for the reality of using this pack, a shoulder strap’s corner stitching popped indicating this back pack is not up to any real use beyond that of a purse. Sad too. We liked this pack. For the $30 price tag & the generous amount of pockets & ability to hold a full sized water flask, we do not feel it lived up to the expectation. It was not “over stuffed” & the weight it was burdened with was not unreasonable. This is not meant to be a hardcore trekking pack, but as a Disneyland day pack, which it was great at except for the strap stitching failing, it couldn’t do the job. Can’t see this as a book bag, can’t take the weight. We did return it & spent a few dollars more for a pack that can do the job we need it do. We have learned buying light weight back packs to do medium weight tasks is trying to buy something more inexpensive with the expectation it can perform like something it wasn’t built to do. This is indeed a great pack for light duty with little to no weight put in it. We have a ”fold into itself” $15 pack that did better at Disneyland than this pack did, but that “cheapie” pack lacked the side pocket size. We put the water flask inside the pack, plus everything else we carried. We just wanted a little bigger pack with better pocketing design. This pack would be our go to pack if the straps would’ve hold up. if you’re looking for a pack to carry convenience items & a jacket & not much else, this is a great bag! But if you start adding a light weight umbrella, water, some snackage, a battery hand fan, a hat, and other such stuff, it will not work.
