Works Like A Charm
We got this to keep the cats out of our mirrored sliding door closet. Because it's clear, you can't even tell it's on there. We stuck it on, popped it into position and the cats haven't been inside since. Don't know why it took me 9 years to figure this out, but sure glad I found these. Bonus: my grandsons also can't get into the closet anymore or slam the mirrored doors :D

For mom
My mom is in a memory care facility and I got these so no one (including her) can get into her closet. Can’t keep replacing clothes, drawers and bras. So far so good.

Perfect for bypass closets!
This works great on our closet bypass doors. It was easy to place, sticks well and pops up easily and then pops down easily when you want to open the doors. I took off one star because the part that slides up and down comes out of the track sometimes and it's kind of a nuisance to get back in the track...I think eventually the little guides are going to break if I have to pop it into place too many times. Just put it high enough that it's out of the kiddo's reach, because I imagine they could figure it out easily enough. Also, it won't work if there aren't guides at the bottom of your bypass doors. We recently replaced our doors and I hadn't yet added the guide back at the bottom of them. I put this lock on and my toddler just pushed the doors backward to get past the lock. I realized what was happening and put the guide back on and now it's great.I will say that even though it's not recommended for this use, I did try it on our sliding glass door. I was desperate because my little guy keeps letting himself outside, which is terrifying. I won't take off a star for this, because they flat out tell you not to use it for that purpose but I would definitely follow their recommendation NOT to use it on a sliding glass door. It stuck really well to the glass so I can see how it would work well for keeping windows from opening all the way, but I needed the door to slide past the lock so that we could still get out as needed. And it did, actually. I tested it to see if there was enough clearance before I stuck it on and there seemed to be. But once I stuck it on the glass, the sliding door did bump the stationary door when it was opened. It actually wasn't bad though, and we could definitely open the door. And the kiddo definitely could not open the door, so in that regard it did work. But then the sliding part of the lock popped off the track (like I mentioned above) while the door was open and I panicked because it prevented me from closing the slider at all. I did manage to get the door shut and removed the lock altogether so it won't happen again, but I'm bummed that I will probably have to look into a lock which requires drilling into the slider frame or costs a ton. But anyways, learn from my mistake and listen to the advice that this lock isn't meant for sliding glass doors!

Keeps cats out of closet
I got this lock in hopes that it would keep my closet that has sliding doors locked and my cats out of it. It works like a charm! My cats even try to paw and push around the closet doors but the lock won't let them budge.

This thing really works!
Our sliding shower door would creep open while the shower was in use causing a flood on the bathroom floor. The application was super easy, the adhesion is great so far, and it really works. I only used one, and it also works to hold both doors in a halfway open position to allow the shower to dry out after use, lessening the chances for mold and mildew formation.

Hard to believe how effective these lil chunks of plastic are.
Surprisingly strong little buggers. Perfect for sliding door with dog door installed. It beats using a stick to hold the door closed, and security tension bars can make opening the door take a bit too long when you've got excited puppy creatures that are excited to get outside RIGHT NOW BECAUSE SQUIRREL.The other thing I was going to try if these didn't work was one of the quick access foot locks, but wasn't too keen on drilling into the frame so I figured what the heck I'll try the flimsy looking plastic contraptions first. Alas, they aren't flimsy at all.Few things, and they aren't complaints.- If you have a dog door installed in your sliding door, the weather striping/flap can block these but that's easily solved by cutting a small enough tab out to allow clearance. (See picture)- One thing I was concerned about was the amount of pressure these could apply on the door in order to make a firm seal when the door is closed. The 3M strip attached to these are strong enough but I wanted them to be able to withstand as much pressure as possible, so I removed the 3M strips, added Gorilla Glue clear double sided tape AND Gorilla Glue epoxy. After the appropriate dry time, these babies aren't going anywhere. Ever. We might have to replace the glass if we decide we don't want to use these any longer. Gorilla Glue is no joke.- Lastly, if you desire an even firmer seal, you can add a bit of Gorilla Glue tape to the weather striping where the pad in these makes contact when in the locked position. (See photo) You'd be surprised how much additional pressure just the width of that tape can add to your door's seal.Long story short, these fellas are strong, easy (quick!) to open, and with the right modification/reinforcement they can provide an impressive amount of pressure on your sliding door to create a firm seal when it's closed.

Amazing security
Durable and easy to install

A little weak in the design
This is a great item, easy to install and easy to use but I have a feeling if I forget it’s on locked mode and I open the door or when my child is bigger and opens the door, that the lock will break. It seems like a thin piece of plastic that’s holding the door shut.
