I bought these a couple weeks back for daily use at work as a functional hand fan. They work great in that respect, and they're pretty as well! However, I did notice upon opening them that the wood was unfinished and probably not sanded down at all--there were splinters on almost every spine. I largely fixed this by taking a nail file to them, but it's definitely not ideal to have to do that! They're also very tightly bound together, which has some pros and cons: it's good that they hold up to being opened and closed quickly multiple times for hours on end without coming loose and falling apart, but they don't fully close when you try to snap them shut since the spines aren't fully straight on some of them, so you have to manually adjust it before it will close.Overall: beautiful, useful, and sturdy, but features a couple quality demerits. For the price of them, though, I can't complain too much.

Very pleased with this purchase. The fans are delicate and very pretty. They work just as they should and can easily fit in a handbag without weighing it down. Well worth the price!

The media could not be loaded. The materials themselves are decent quality (though there are “splinters”, as another reviewer said). The designs are all very pretty. However, only the last fan (dark blue) was the design I ordered. The first two (hot pink and blue) had different designs, which is mostly forgiveable.However, the third fan was a light pink instead of purple (even though it had a purple tassel), with a different design as well. Personally, I bought this option mainly for the purple fan, so it was disappointing to get a different design and color. (Had the color been right, I might have been okay with some differences in the design). Honestly, the color mismatch probably the only thing keeping this from being a 5-star review.The “splinters” aren’t a big deal. They’re more like flyaways that could be peeled off into toothpicks (not recommended, would probably damage the fan). They won’t cause issue during use. You just need to carefully break them off/smooth them out for the first usage.They open and close nicely enough, and would probably be durable for everyday use. They don’t flick to a completely closed position consistently (might be a matter of loosening the bolt, maybe with pliers because there’s no opening for a screwdriver), but it’s still easy to do some basic flourishes with them.

The fabric part is nice and won’t rip. But the sticks are very thin and brittle.

Good quality st a good price

Purchased the fans for a holiday in Turkey, they were really pretty, used them at a wedding. Also ended up giving some away to other people to use, good quality for the price and looked really nice. Will continue to use them when hot.

Nice fans just like photo. You get what you pay for. With careful use I'm sure they will last a while but if heavy handed then quite flimsy. For the price I got what I expected. Lovely colours. Handy for keeping in your handbag.
