The Jotto-Cargo Slide for full size Ford, Chevy, Dodge and Toyota pickups is the perfect cargo management solution and bed extender for your pick up truck bed. It provides easy access to cargo stored in the truck bed on the job site, football field or grocery store parking lot. Truck caps and tonneau covers make it hard to access your tools, equipment and cargo. The Jotto-Cargo Slide eliminates crawling into truck beds. Your pickup is designed to carry just so much weight. Why use up that precious weight rating on the weight of the bed slide you put in the truck bed. Carry more cargo, not more slide. Slide removes from the truck bed in under a minute. The Jotto-Cargo Slide’s design is unique. Constructed from extruded aircraft grade aluminum, our anodized cargo slides are strong yet lightweight. All models feature the AlumaTrack system with 18 to 24 roller bearings so that you can easily move more real cargo. Get the most out of your cargo slide with the optional AlumaPlank flooring system. This specialized flooring system provides superior strength without the weight of a 3/4 Inch to 1 Inch thick plywood floor. The 3 Inch wide aluminum floor planks easily snap together and feature a ribbed surface to help grip your cargo.

Great addition to the Avalanche
I've been wanting to add a slide to my avalanche for some time and was trying to decide between the bedslide and this product. Plenty reviews exist on the bedslide and I ruled out other brands based on the few number of sealed bearings for the drawer compared to these two brands.I went went with the Jotto for these main reasons:1. It is all aluminum except for the frame cross supports which are steel. So it's lighter than the bed slide and can be removed by one person. (remove drawer, then remove frame)2. It fills up the entire bed in length so I'm only sacrificing a little height.3. It was less expensive than the bedslide (I purchased the aluminum floor as well)4. I like having the four sides enclosed so nothing gets out.5. UPS can deliver it, don't have to schedule freight delivery. My first reservation was that it came disassembled. Assembly isn't the issue, I was more worried with parts loosening up and it falling apart. My second, was the lack of decent in depth reviews. I did not come across any negative reviews, just a few short "I like it" reviews.I ordered the slide and the aluminum floor from Amazon and got free 2 day delivery of both due to a prime membership. They arrived packed very well. The only issue was one of the ball bearings on one slide rail was broken and the ball bearings scattered throughout. A call to Jotto got a replacement bearing shipped out to me. The bearings just bolt onto the rail.Assembly is straight forward and this thing is built like a tank, requiring basic tools for assembly. The frame has 3 steel cross members as does the drawer. Included instructions are photocopies and contain pictures showing the steps of assembly but color ones are available on the company's website for better clarity. Also included is a DVD showing a video of the assembly. The video shows standard installation into a pickup which requires drilling. The Avalanche model doesn't and contains 2 brackets which attach to the lower tie down bolt and the slide's frame rail channel slides onto it and then is bolted down. Included are longer replacement tie down bolts and spacers. The mounting brackets are solid steel and not going anywhere. The aluminum plank interlocking flooring was easy to install and came with plastic shims to place on the drawer's steel cross members and front and rear walls to eliminate rattle. The floor is solid, doesn't move and most likely will never have to be replaced. I justified the cost based on the cost of the bedslide. Based on Amazon pricing, the price difference was about $225 so I don't think plywood should be that expensive, rubber coated or not. If I'm going to spend that kind of money on a floor, I want it to last the life of the truck. The drawer also has a built in channel on each side for optional adjustable tie downs, similar to the bedslide 1000se. I didn't realize this at the time of purchase, so it was an added bonus as the bedslide 800 (avalanche model) does not have this feature. One feature I did not like was that it only had two locking points: Fully open and fully closed. This can be solved by drilling another hole for the lock pin to catch. Originally, the only functional issue I had was the drawer needed a little force in opening and closing it near the mounting brackets. All 3 supports were sitting on the floor of the bed so elevation or not being level wasn't the issue. The bearing that broke was the last one on the left side (at the midgate) but I can't see just one being an issue (there are 23 other bearings). Everything is square and it was opening and closing fine prior to mounting so I'm pretty sure it's something to do with the mounts. At worst the drawer won't come flying out when the lock is released, but it may be tough to get it going under a heavy load. However, the next day the drawer was opening and closing smoothly. A few days later, I received the replacement bearing. So far, Jotto's customer service is top notch. The drawer floor is approx 4.25" from the bed floor. Bedslide has a lower height but, in my opinion and for my needs, not worth the extra cost. So far I'm very happy with the Jotto Cargo slide.Assembly instructions and photos can be seen here:[...]][...]

Perfect!
I bought this for my Avalanche because I was having to use a ladder to get up into the bed. (I am older than dirt). I designed the slide to hold all my camping equipment and make it very easy to get to. It pulls our far enough that I can use it as a cooking surface also.It is extremely stable. One caveat...the included instructions are very hard to read. They are just xerox copies. However, if you go to the website, there are colored instructions which are very easy to read. If you are a "Gimme the parts...I'll figure it out" type of guy, this is not for you. The parts and installation need to be followed exactly in order...

Picture is deceiving. Should’ve made it clear that plank is sold separately.
I bought the slide thinking that the plank comes with it also because of the picture. Change the picture so that it will just show just the slide. This is rediculous. I’ve waited over 2 weeks for the delivery and very disappointed that it’s not even complete.

Good for groceries
I had purchased a full size unit for 8’ box. Directions, a joke! Universal for all models, had to take it apart a couple times to reinsert missing parts! Can I say nuts and bolts? Way too many to come loose on the unit. Factory alignment is terrible, adjust, adjust and adjust again so it would open. Slide is open at 70% or closed, no incremental locking positions at all. No side to side roller bearings, so if not on level ground, it grinds on the rails to open and close. Much better choices out there such as Cargo Glide.

Not so "custom" or maybe it would have fit.
It's not that I don't like it, but how about including instructions that weren't written by an escapee? If you have marked parts as R & L, why do the directions include a reversal of "on your right side" when referring to the left side? Also have to wonder about lack of hole to catch release pin in closed position? The "U" brackets were not properly sized, and new had to be drilled out. And most confusing of all, why send me floor planks that were all 1 1/4 inches too long and all had to be cut down to fit?
