Funny. Sad. And emotional. As the title says "friendship" .
Kunal, a photographer and Sam a nurse both male are in need of accommodation. They find the perfect abode within their budget, with only one slight hitch. Only females are desired. Mmm. Now say if they were an item, they would pose no threat, since they wouldn't "see" women as "lovers".As their very desirable landlady Neha, says men "would fall in love with me, and that would be strange".Sam is keen, far more than Kunal to pose as a gay couple. The accommodation is worth it. When asked how they met, we see the fabricated location, Venice, and Sam's body language is camp as he seeks Kunal. The story seems dubious but is accepted by both Neha and her aunt. When Neha informs them as a gay couple they could get residency within one year, instead of the normal five, Kunal is keen to persuade Sam. Hilarity ensues as Kunal follows Sam into the Mens. A stranger walks in, gives them a disapproving look. Ah! The stranger is the immigration guy who has to stamp their paperwork. Have they been rumbled?Kunal receives his residency, but shock horror, Sam's is posted to his home address, his mother's address. On opening the letter, horrified she hotfoots it to visit him. The timing couldn't be more terrible. Neha' boss arrives, as does immigration to confirm the gay couple are actually living together. Comic chaos ensues. Seems even Neha' boss hasn't gotten around to telling his own parents about his male preference.Somewhat surprisingly Sam's mother accepts his other half, and welcomes him.Alas, by pretending to be gay both tenants have ensured Neha only sees them as friends and nothing more. To their horror she falls for her boss Abhi, who has a five year old son. First they give Abhi tips, on how to dress, how to act around her, (as a consequence Neha thinks they all three love Abhi, and since Abhi is only into girls, it's doomed, but they manage to convince her she should have him), and than they mischievously tell Abhi' son how he'll be shipped off to boarding school, whilst telling Neha how she should act towards the boy.Predictably the boy doesn't want her as his stepmother. To portray being gay, both the photographer and the nurse have to be comfortable in their own skin. They have to be convincing alright at times somewhat camp, entertaining and not to denegrade being gay. They manage to pull it off. And at times compromising situations come to their rescue. In the changing room Sam thinks he's telling Neha he loves her, but inside the cubicle it's Kunal.Neha opens the cubicle curtain just after Kunal has imprinted onto Sam, they'll both be homeless if Sam says anything. Their physical positioning is open to another interpretation. Annoyed Neha says "disgusting" .How should Sam and Kunal who mischievously played Abhi' son apologize? A mischievous look enters Abhi eyes. He says they should "kiss". Their first attempt falters. Their second as Kunal seized Sam, well! Well!As Abhi says to Neha "I wouldn't have done it, not even for you" .

Funny film
I love watching this film it is so funny. There is a real mix of characters like the totally stereotypical aunt and the mother who is fixated on getting her son married. The acting is totally over the top and there are a few surprises.
