Amerex B417, 2.5lb ABC Dry Chemical Class A B C Fire Extinguisher, with Wall Bracket

Amerex is one of the best extinguishers available however the product pictured and the actual product delivered are not the same. I intended to install this in my truck and the description states "with wall bracket" however the picture shows a strapped bracket. It is off the picture description that I ordered the extinguisher however the bracket included is a simple loose wall bracket for home or shop use without the strap. This obviously will not work in a vehicle. VERY MISLEADING! I want the extinguisher but I want the mount bracket shown in the picture.

The Fire Extingusher arrived early was packaged really well and we were happy to be able to put it in the space in our new car. I once saw a car burn and have carried every since just in case. Amerex is more costly than other brands but the quality and the metal controls are the reason I will not carry any other brand. Was a Quality Engineer for a major Defense Contractor before I retired and was privileged to visit the factory and see the production processes. If you want American made quality this is the one you want its not cheap but do you want cheap if your having a fire?The supplier was great came early they contacted us to see if the shipment was satisfactory and if we were pleased you can not go wrong with them, when I need another I'll use them again.

Product arrived quickly. The canister looks good. The only disappointment is the bracket that came with the unit. It is not what is pictured with the product. The product picture shows a clamping bracket. That is what I wanted as this is going in my trailer camper. What came was a simple U-shaped hanger which would be appropriate in a stationary location.

I've had these multi-purpose, dry chemical ABC type fire extinguishers in my homes for 20+ years and can highly recommend them to everyone. I now have four of them installed in the house: one each in the kitchen, garage, utility room, and on the 2nd floor bedroom level. Amerex brand uses all-metal hardware and therefore, these are rechargeable after use--or every 10-12 years!--as recommended by the industry professionals. (I also plan to add a CO2 extinguisher to my car soon.) Be sure to familiarize yourself with how to properly use these extinguishers safely and quickly. Doing so could save your life and others in case of a home fire emergency.

The bracket pictured here is not what is supplied... do not buy this expecting a wall mount with a strap - it is a simple(cheaper) hanger. After receiving the product I see several others have commented the same. Shame on me for not being more thorough and reading all the reviews, but I rarely get misled on Amazon like this.

I'm a retired firefighter and would not live without an extinguisher handy. This unit is near fireground quality, with metal, not plastic, handle/trigger assembly. Use the mount, don't put it on a shelf or on the floor, so you know where it always is. Have it checked and tagged at least every five years and NEVER test it by discharging it. Once the seal is broken, it may lost charge and not work.

Quality fire extinguisher. Spend the extra money for one of these over the cheap ones found at big box stores!!!NOTE: This comes with just a standard wall bracket...NOT the one shown in the picture.

Purchased these extinguishers based upon other reviews. Please note: they are heavy. I purchased these for my mother's home. It is unlikely that she would be able to lift even the smallest one..much less be able to actually use it. However, they are solidly constructed and we're definitely keeping them regardless. I might get a few of the Kidde ones anyway just so my mom has something she can handle herself.
