Irritrol RS500 Wired Rain Sensor

Good instructions.

Install took about 20 minutes only because you have to get the wire out of the house. Really easy to install and set up and works well.Wire is sufficiently long to go a good ways away from the house.good instructions in case you need to use it on another system (Normally closed or normally open can be set)

I had an Irritrol wireless rain sensor that had stopped working--the discs would not expand in the rain. But the insides of the sensor were still okay. Irritrol does not sell replacement parts or sensors. I bought this wired sensor hoping I could use parts of it to repair my old wireless one. The wired sensor is exactly the same dimensions as the wireless one. I had only to remove the bottom of both sensors, take the circuit board out of the old sensor, and insert it into the new sensor. It works perfectly!

Like the product but it don't turn off when there is a freeze. Easy install. Two wires.

Works great and no need to purchase the wireless version as this connection was easily hidden and attached. It works great and I no longer need to shut off the system when it rains or remember to turn it back on.

Very much needed with the rain we have been getting here in Minnesota lately. I have been having to go out and shutting off the sprayers myself. The sensor was easy to install has been working wonderful for us. Wish I put one in earlier!!

I have a wireless RS1000 and the cap broke off. This RS500 uses the exact same body, so I took out the wireless base and plugged it into this one. Works perfectly and saved a lot of money!

I replace the precious unit ten years ago so everything went as expected
