Great slicer for the money!
"Best Choice Products" 10" Blade Commercial Slicer. This is a very good deal. If you are looking for a heavy duty commercial grade slicer but don't have $1500 to spend on a Hobart, this is an excellent choice. It is definitely not just a "big box" high grade residential slicer. If you want to slice a bunch of beef for jerky or slice ham for a big batch of BBQ ham, and of course lunch meat and cheese, even making potato chips, this is it. You can slice potatoes or many other vegetables paper thin, it really is a great slicer. Back to my original point, it is really a commercial duty slicer at a residential price. Keep this in mind when you purchase it. You won't want to move this around your kitchen on a regular basis, it is heavy. It also requires careful cleaning as every commercial slicer does. The blade is razor sharp! Let me say that again, The blade is razor sharp! BE CAREFUL! It’s not just a thin piece of stainless like a carving knife, it’s thick, strong and requires great care when handling the blade. You will not want to use this slicer if all you want to do with it is slice a small amount of something a couple times a month because it’ll take you a while to clean it properly. It also requires basic skills and tools that are not included to take it apart when you want to remove the blade for an extra good cleaning. Bottom line, I am happy with the slicer and would buy it again. On a side note, I did have a problem with the shipping, the unit was damaged by careless shipping. Not the sellers fault. The seller, aoruo-shanghang, quickly worked with me to resolve the problem. They were very responsive to my emails, I am very happy with the way they handled the problem.

Excellent Slicer and a Great Value.
This slicer is not cheap, but it is much less expensive than equivalent slicers. The performance is outstanding. Nice induction motor is quiet and powerful (unlike "consumer" model slicers with noisy, weak universal motors). I sliced a 13 pound sirloin butt into paper thin slices for Italian Beef sandwiches in 10 minutes. The whole roast fit on the slider and slicing was effortless. I must say it made a terrible mess, however. Perhaps it was the thinness of my slices or the nature of the beef roast, but tiny bits of beef flew everywhere! My dog loved it. My wife not so much.. Everything near the slicer was a mess. Not a problem with the slicer, but next time I will do this outside or on a drop cloth. Other foods would no doubt be cleaner. I also found I had to stop after 15-20 slices and move the product from underneath the blade to prevent it from working underneath the rotating blade and launching more bits of meat into the air. Again, not a problem with the slicer, but a warning to those without a dog to help clean up. I would buy this slicer again. There is nothing like on the market at this price point. See my instructions and comments on cleaning in the Customer Q&A section.

Great for slicing bad for cleaning!
After Reading everyone else's reviews I decided to make the purchase. The slicer as a shock to me came in 3 days early just in time for my smoked corned beef. It came a large box and secured well. I did have a little blemish on the meat tray but nothing to be alarmed at because it doesn't look like a shipping issue. I found the instructions manual and boy o boy they completely suck. They suck so bad I wonder if shipping would've been cheaper if they never sent it. You have to clean before your first use and the manual isnt any I mean absolutely any help at all so I chucked it to the side and got my tool box. I took apart every bolt and screw just and disassembled to find out the blade would not remove. There's a red arrow on the center plate tell me to turn counter clockwise but it was very difficult. I finally go it off to be met by 3 Phillip head screws . I removed those screws and wiggle the blade out. Now everything is cleaned I put it back together to start slicing my beef. This thing slices like a champ !!!! I did notice small pieces of meat was flung and hit the wall but I guess thats why someone invented soap and water. After I was done slicing I dreaded to clean it up but I had no choice. Remember above I stated I took all the bolts out well I noticed I completely overworked myself. You only need to take out the the 2 bolts on the front of meat tray and remove that. Then counter clockwise the center plate (rubber gloves works well for grip) and remove the 3 Phillip screws and wiggle the blade out. This time around it took me all of 3 minutes to break it down. Also note that this is a well built machine and its not lightweight . If your looking for something with plastic gears and lightweight keep looking because this isnt for you. I would have given this 5 stars but I think a 4 is better just because of the manual not giving any and I mean absolutely any directions at all. I hope my review helps you !!! Happy shopping everyone! !!

excellent value
I had been looking at the big commercial hobart slicers for our restaurant business but tried this since it was a fraction of the price. So far it has worked out very well. It's light enough to put out of the way when not in use but big enough to handle all of our slicing requirements. This is a chinese product but sturdy and appears well made; it should last. The instruction manual is a hoot ("warm tips for using your slicer") but still understandable. It has a rubber boot covering the switches so can be easily rinsed with a sprayer. The top guard/sharpener comes off with one knob which is all that's required for cleaning. Once removed there is an opportunity for injury but overall I'm pleased with the safety of the design.
