Original Album Series

Excellent deal for the $ .5 albums for 15/16 dollars , good band for the buck .

My favorite song from the cd's is I just want to make love to you. It's from their first cd. It's from the orginal first album. It represents their first five albums.

Four of the band's first seven albums up to the 1977 Live album. Plus the 1980 Tight Shoes album. Why it didn't include the other 3 early albums - the 1973 untitled (Rock/Roll) album, Rock and Roll Outlaws and Nightshift - I wish I knew. They're among the best. But why look a gift horse in the mouth? If you're a fan, you may know some of these early albums are available only as downloads. Some of the discs are advertised for rather generous sums. So this set was a bargain. I withheld one star for an issue common to every "Original Album Series" set I've purchase. I have no trouble with the paper packaging. The discs are in individual envelopes inside the main wrapper. The individual envelopes are so tight that you have no choice but to reach in and grab both sides of the disc. The potential is substantial for damaging the recording side at some point. Not the kind of thing you'd want to put in your car and be pulling in and out on a regular basis. Better to download to take with you. Get this big hit of blues-based rock before it's gone.

Generally very good but few songs really made me want to keep playing them over and over. It may be a mood thing that I was not quite ready for so may well change my view after repeated plays. Certainly music of the era. Chris
